Ugh.

I was going to have to decide when I wanted to come.

Who decided me getting to make decisions was a reward?

Chapter 21

Anson

Jasper’s grin had given the game away, but Kennedy’s eyes had been flickering in his direction before he’d laughed.

“I did it but…but I’m starting to second-guess the wholeI get to decide when to comething.” Frowning, Kennedy looked adorably conflicted. “I’m not sure me having to make decisions is a reward.”

Conner’s snicker said he agreed or at the very least understood.

“We can come back to that point then.” Giving Kennedy a quick peck, I tried not to laugh. “It’s supposed to be a reward, not something stressful.”

Shrugging, he sighed. “I think I got overly enthusiastic.”

Oh yes.

“Well, you’re excited about orgasming and you liked winning.” I could see how the combination had gone to his head.

“Thank you for understanding.” Kissing my cheek, he fell back on his cute and innocent routine, so I knew something very Kennedy would follow. “And thank you for understanding that it’s your job to explain the social rules about meeting someone who’s heard you orgasm.”

Before I could agree with him, Kennedy turned to Conner. “That’s definitely a Dom thing. I don’t want to upset anyone or make Mr. Jasper think I regret the phone scene we did. I don’t. I just don’t know what to do once I meet him.”

I didn’t seem to be necessary to the conversation because Conner jumped right in. “Well, I’d go over and sit down on his lap and kiss his cheek and thank him for helping me orgasm in a great scene, but every sub has their own limits and some Masters are kind of weird about that stuff.”

When they both turned to me, I realized it was time for me to chime in. “He might not be expecting the lap cuddles and kisses part. I don’t have an issue with it, though. Kennedy is very cute when he’s smiling and wiggling.”

Very cute when he blushed and squirmed too.

“But yes, I agree that it’s my responsibility to handle the social dynamics of the situation.” Kennedy had just been obsessing over other bits of the situation, so he hadn’t been able to focus on the practical parts before. “We’re going to go over and you can sit next to me or on my lap. Then you’re going to tell Jasper that it’s good to meet him in person.”

The instructions and maybe just the normalness of it all had Kennedy’s worries fading and his smile looking more natural. “Then you can decide if you want to ask for a hug or anything like that. I will not be upset by anything that you do because it felt natural in the moment.”

Kennedy’s instincts were kind of stunted due to so many frustrating people in his life, so we were just going to take it one step at a time…and that was the same advice I’d given Jasper, so we were all on the same page.

“Do you remember your verbal safewords and the silent one?” Simply asking the question had Kennedy standing straighter and nodding like a little soldier.

“Yes. I can do it.” Taking a deep breath, Kennedy looked like he was giving himself an internal pep talk. “It’ll be fine.”

Turning to Conner, he smiled wider to make his new friend think he was believable. “He was very nice on the phone.”

Conner was smart enough not to fall for theeverything will be okayroutine, but he was subtle about it as he nodded. “He’s very nice and he’s big and cuddly too. You’re going to like him in person as much as you liked the phone scene with him. And really, you already know he likes hearing you orgasm, so there isn’t much else to worry about.”

There was no logic in that at all, but Kennedy nodded like it was sage advice. “You’re right…and you’re very smart.”

I couldn’t decide if he just wanted to be nice to Conner, if he didn’t want to offend the crazy man, or if he had a crush on the crazy man, but whichever way it was, it probably didn’t matter. Conner seemed to understand the worst of the stress had passed and tugged at Kennedy’s hand. “Perfect. Let’s go say hi before he starts to worry too.”

“Oh.” And Kennedy’s wonderfully flexible mind had something new to obsess over. “We’ve been standing here too long. He’s already worried.”

Before I could give my opinion or instructions, he turned and waved to Jasper. “Hurry, Master. We have to make him feel better.”

And we were off…this time being dragged by Kennedy instead of Conner.

Conner seemed to be finding this side of Kennedy fascinating and adorable if I was reading his smile right, but he didn’t say anything that would make Kennedy question his newfound confidence. “He sees we’re all happy. It’ll be fine.”
