Forcing myself to look around the club, Ilooked back at him, loving the way he was just enough taller than me that Icould be tucked against his chest when he decided we were going to cuddle. Ohyes, this was going to be fun.

“Would you like to show me around?” Hmm,did he want a title? “Um, Sir? What’s the appropriate way to address you?”

He chuckled, and I loved the way the softlaughter made his eyes sparkle. “I think for now you’ll call me Julian.”

Oh, he looked like a Julian…classicalfeatures like an ancient statue but with a warmth marble would never have.

I loved it when people matched their names.

Fingers crossed that his cock was biggerthan the statues in question.

“That would be wonderful. Thank you.”Stepping closer, just to make sure he knew I wasn’t just interested in him foraesthetic reasons, I smiled. “I should probably tell you that I promised mymother I wouldn’t be completely restrained tonight or have penetrative sex. Oh,and she wants me to get to know several Doms before I take those steps. Is thatgoing to be a problem?”

Instead of giving me an odd blink orlooking at me curiously, his smile widened, and he stepped back to study me.His head cocked, and he looked deep into my eyes before he chuckled again. “Youlook just like your mother.”

“Thank you.” She was beautiful, so I’dnever seen that as the awkward compliment some people thought it should be.“Did you study with her?”

He nodded, then shrugged. “Well, a bit along time ago. She helped me figure a few things out and we’ve kept in touchover the years.”

Since he didn’t seem to find the memoriesto be negative, I relaxed a bit inside and smiled. “I’m glad she was able tohelp.”

I meant that sincerely, and he seemed tounderstand because he squeezed my hand. “After we’d been friends for a few years, she told me a bit about you, so I appreciate her rules and I have no problemrespecting her wishes as long as that’s what you want as well.”

I shrugged. “I’m a bit more willing tothrow myself into a situation than is sometimes advisable, so this seems likethe best way to handle things for now.”

And it would give me a chance to ask herabout him before things got too interesting.

“But you’ll still let me sketch you?” I hadto make sure nothing had changed with that. “People get very awkward knowingboth of us.”

He laughed, giving me a rakish grin as heanswered my questions in one go. “Yes, scamp, I’ll still pose for you. We’lljust have to find a time to do it and I want to get to know you a bit first. Myrelationship with Alexandra was mostly talking, so I’m not going to find itawkward at all to know you both. She’s always been very proud of your career, and who am I to hold back a budding genius?”

As I rolled my eyes, Conner’s head poppedinto my peripheral vision. “Genius?”

Good grief.

I wasn’t sure what to say, but luckilyJulian didn’t have that problem. “Keegan here is one of the best-known youngartists in the country. Well, not too young anymore, thankfully.”

His teasing gaze grew heated and suddenlythe image in my head shifted so he was standing commandingly and beautifullynaked over a kneeling sub.

He was fascinating.

“And for tonight, I’m hoping he’ll bemine.” Then Julian drew me closer until I was pressed against his chest, stilljust holding my hand. It was like he knew I’d follow him anywhere so there wasno need to keep me trapped against him. “Then I’m going to get to pose forhim.”

This was turning out much better than I’dever imagined.

I was definitely going to owe my mother athank you…and possibly some flowers.

Chapter 2

Julian

“I hate it that she’s always right.”Keegan’s comment seemed random to Conner, judging by the way his head tilted, but I just laughed.

“She’s always right.” I kissed his nose.“But I have it on good authority that she likes the way you test her.”

He smiled. “I drive her crazy.”

Since he seemed very pleased about that, Ididn’t feel bad about laughing or about all the wicked things I was imaginingdoing to him. “I think we’ll do our best to stick to the rules for now, especially since there are so many other things we can do in the meantime.”
