Laughter flowed around the group as Inodded. “Yeah, got to save him from that nightmare.”
Mitch might not technically be a bad guy ora terrible Dom, but he was a fuck ’em and leave ’em type that rubbed all of usthe wrong way. His motto seemed to be that he was too good to scene with anysub twice. Most of the more experienced subs knew to stay away from him by now,but the new ones had to learn the hard way sometimes.
It was beyond frustrating to watch, especially when some of the other subs tried to warn the newbies, but he hadn’tdone anything wrong enough for Ben and Conner to be able to justify revokinghis membership.
But for Julian to have even noticed Mitchor feel that protective of the new guy, he had to have been watching the bouncysub for a while.
“Alright, I’m going to go say hello and seeif he needs a tour.” He grinned at Asa before smiling at the rest of us. “Atthe very least, I’ll rescue him from Conner. I’ll catch you later.”
As Julian walked away, he turned to me andgrinned. “Have fun interrogating your boy.”
Asa huffed, clearly not impressed, but Ijust smiled and played dumb. “He’s always fun to talk to. Unlike some peoplewho brood and make bad jokes.”
Then covered his feelings with brightsmiles and teasing grins.
Julian rolled his eyes, but the quick glarehe gave Niall as he walked away said more than he probably wanted it to.
What the hell was up with those two?
We’d all been friends for years and they’dalways been on good terms. Sure, Julian was more likely to confide in Stuartthan Niall, but I couldn’t ever remember them arguing before. A quick glance atPorter and Stuart said they hadn’t missed the exchange either. Even Asa seemedto have noticed, judging by his stare and concerned expression.
Yep, it was time to talk and hopefully getto the bottom of their drama.
Making a mental note to drag Julian out fordinner again next week since the last time hadn’t done any good, I watched ashe walked away wearing a somewhat genuine smile. It seemed that whatever dramahe was having with Niall, he wasn’t going to let it affect the rest of hisnight.
I just hoped it wasn’t wishful thinking, because he’d been single for too long and I couldn’t remember the last sub orDom that he’d played with.
Yeah, it was time to get some answers, orat the very least figure out what the fuck the question should be, because thequick flash of something like anger that showed on Niall’s face before hepushed it away said there was more going on than met the eye.
Which, unfortunately, was a good reminderthat I had another interesting conversation coming up with myI want to keepthings casualsub. It looked like it was going to be the week for someinteresting conversations all around.
And since I wasn’t looking to add anything elseserious to my plate, I glanced around the group and smiled. “Alright, I’ve gota few minutes and I might be talked into going to see what’s going on in theback.”
Porter chuckled, shaking his head. “No, nobribes from us this time. We’ve got a private room reserved.”
When I looked over at Stuart, he wasstroking Asa’s neck, giving him a heated smile. But unfortunately, he was also shakinghis head. “We’re heading out early too. I have a few promises to keep at home.”
Whatever he’d promised Asa had the subsnuggling closer and smiling. “Thank you for remembering, Master.”
Knowing those two, it could be anythingfrom kinky sex to redoing Stuart’s house, so I didn’t bother asking what theywere going to get up to as I turned to Niall. “Don’t tell me you’re ditching metoo?”
He glanced over at Julian who was nowgrinning as the new sub wiggled closer, clearly trying to entice him. “I have afew things at home I need to do. I’ll talk to you guys later.”
As he stood and hurried away, I glancedbetween the rest of the guys. “We’re going to say that’s weird, right?”
Asa sighed. “If I noticed their oddbehavior, I think it qualifies as highly interesting at the very least.”
Oh yeah…and while funny and accurate, itbrought me back around to his conversation with Ridley again.
What the hell had those two gotten up to?

Well, she’d thought we’d have several weeks. It’d seemed logical based on previous visits, but obviously not.
