“Warner’s pizza guy.” I felt my worrycreeping back through me, but Master’s chuckle said he wasn’t mad. “He was atthe coffee shop.”

I’d remembered to text Master about goingon my enforced break, so he knew what I was talking about. He shook his head, still grinning. “I didn’t even think about you seeing him again. I guess weshould have.”

Nodding, I leaned into his hands and closedmy eyes, soaking up his touch. “I wasn’t sure if talking to him was a good idea, but I was staring at him so long he came over and talked to me instead.”

That made Master laugh and I found myselfsmiling. “That doesn’t surprise me, imp. Then what happened?”

Now we were at the part where I wasn’t sureif I needed to be punished or not. Peeking one eye open, I shrugged. “I mighthave set Warner up on a date?”

I wasn’t sure.

I shouldn’t have worried.

Master laughed so hard he fell back againstthe couch. “Oh, god…that’s just…oh, that’s…”

When he finally caught his breath, he gaveme a kiss and shook his head. “Okay, now let’s try this again. What did youguys talk about?”

“Um, lots?” I knew that wasn’t a goodenough answer, so I just started explaining everything. “He’s curious aboutBDSM and he knew about the club, but he hasn’t been, and oh, that was hissister-in-law and he’s single and he’s going to bring a pizza to Warner’s housetonight because…well, something about life being short?”

Still wearing a silly grin, Master gave meanother kiss. “You definitely don’t do anything by halves, imp.”

So did that mean I wasn’t going to bepunished?

Chapter 24

Stuart

“If you don’t pick, imp, I will.” My lowwarning, whispered next to his ear, had him groaning.

“How about I write lines?” He looked overhis shoulder, pouting. “Four pages?”

Shaking my head, I gave him a quick kiss.“Nope. Not even ten. Alright, I’ll help you narrow it down. I know the coupleover in the corner with the sub in that lacy outfit. I know the guys over onthat blue couch, but they look kind of off tonight so maybe not them.”

For some reason Bailey and Harper lookedlike they were carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders. The young, almost couple-ish guys usually were fun and teasing. On a different nightthey’d have been a good couple for Asa to practice getting to know.

“Okay, we’ve got the littles over in thecorner with the trains. I know them and I think you’d have fun being a bigbrother kind of friend.” The way Asa started shaking his head really didn’tsurprise me.

“Kids never liked me. Adults being kidsprobably won’t like me either.”

We’d have to tackle that issue at a laterdate. For now we were working on talking to strangers that he didn’t work with. But since he’d picked this over watching a scene, I wasn’t going to let himwimp out.

“Alright, Grant and Carter it is.” Myannouncement had him sighing dramatically, but he let himself be led across theroom, so I wasn’t worried.

As we made our way over, Grant looked upand caught my eye, smiling. Carter was still a bit shy sometimes, but thatmight be good for Asa.

Two quiet subs couldn’t offend each other, right?

“Grant is the big guy. He’s a Dom and isvery laid back although he’s got a terrible sense of humor, and Carter is hisboyfriend, but Carter is a bit shy.” I tried to think of anything he might needto know to feel more comfortable. “They play on the weekends, but it’s not alifestyle relationship. Oh, Grant’s family owns a local insurance company and Carterowns an antique store.”

That seemed to be the only thing thatcaught Asa’s attention. “Like furniture and desks or knick-knacks?”

“Furniture, I think, but let’s ask. I’venever been in the store.” Having a purpose to the conversation seemed to makethe prospect of talking to them easier. It became less of me dragging Asaacross the room and more of him walking with me.

I was going to remember that for next time.

As we approached them, Carter stayed curledin Grant’s lap as the big Dom held out his hand. “Stuart, good to see you. Iwas hoping you’d be here tonight.”

“Well, now you have me curious.” I gesturedto the chair beside them. “Mind if we sit down?”
