I could only guess that he was thinkingabout moving in and surprised at getting to change my space, but I wasn’t sureenough about that to talk about it specifically. Especially since I wasn’t surehe even realized how curiously he was behaving.
“It’s a very beige room currently. What doyou think about the color?” Again, asking a question got a better reaction fromhim.
“I like beige.” He blinked several times.“Maybe we could get new curtains?”
I’d have bought him the world if it meanthe’d share what was going through his head. “I think that’s a good idea. Theflowery stuff that’s in there was on clearance when I first moved in and Ihaven’t changed it since. I probably should’ve picked out something I likedbetter, but the saleswoman kept flirting with me and I was desperate to get outof the store.”
That got a smile from him. “Is that why thetowels in the downstairs bathroom have flowers on them too?”
I nodded. “I bought several sets ofmatching things and ran out of the store. The flowers went in that guest roombecause they’re hideous and I don’t go in there much. The other two wentupstairs because I ended up liking those better.”
His smile widened. “I’ll protect you if youwant to go back and pick out new stuff someday.”
I gave him a teasing kiss and grinned.“Thank you. I would love that. In fact, that’s something we can do over thenext few months, if you would like?”
We were only one week into our countdown ofthe three months until he would move in, and I wanted him to understand I wasserious about it.
“Really?” He was starting to come back tolife, giving me a little grin and wiggling on my lap. “We could pick out newthings?”
“Absolutely.” Pulling him against my chest,I caressed his back, cuddling him close. “We need to look for some new stufffor the bedroom so it looks like our room instead of my room. There’s youroffice. Oh, and the flowery bathroom downstairs.”
That had him giggling. “We need to add newkitchen towels to the list too, Master. Yours are terrible.”
“I can honestly say I don’t think I evenknow what color my dish towels are. Black? Gray?” I liked darker colors, so thoseseemed like good guesses.
Asa giggled again. “Red.”
“Really?”
He nodded. “Red with dark gray stripes.”
“So gray. See, I was right.” My responsehad him laughing. “Wait, isn’t my kitchen beige too?”
Why were my dish towels red?
Grinning, he pulled away enough to kiss mycheek before snuggling close again. “I don’t have to change anything if youdon’t want me to, though. I like your house.”
“But if it’s going to be our house, weshould both pick out things for it.” Kissing his head, I went back to slowlycaressing him. “We’ll put your stamp on it too. Things like pictures you likeand groceries you want to have over there. All kinds of little things to makeit your house too.”
“Thank you, Master.” He pressed a kiss tomy neck, sending a shiver through me that had him giggling again.
“Naughty boy.” Hugging him tight, Imassaged everything I could reach from his back to his legs as we cuddledquietly.
After a while he wiggled and I could hearhis mind start to whirl again. “Dr. Sheppard gave me a list of topics we shouldtalk about before I move in with you.”
I kissed his head. “Before we move intogether.”
He made a low happy sound, nodding. “Beforewe move in together, Master.”
“Good boy.” Keeping up the firm strokesthat had him so relaxed, I smiled as he kept offering up more information abouthis discussion with Miles.
“It has everything on it from money stuffto chores and BDSM kind of stuff like punishments.” He eased back and gave me ashy expression. “I want to help around the house and with the finances too.”
I probably shouldn’t have been surprisedwith the direction the discussion had taken.
“We’re equal partners even though it looksdifferent than some couples might have their lives arranged. We’ll figure outwhat we each think is fair and what will make you happy.” His smile said I’dtaken a weight off his shoulders.
“And I can help clean up the kitchen whenyou make dinner for me?”
