“Possessive and turned on.” I’d sexuallyaroused Stuart.

Life was sometimes frustratingly random, but then something would line up and be incredible. Like finding Stuart againand seeing that look in his eyes. I just couldn’t wait to see what would happennext.

Chapter 6

Stuart

“No, I asked you about your schedule. Don’ttalk around the answer.” It’d just been idle curiosity and a way to start theconversation, but with the way Asa had talked around the start of his day, Ihad to press.

Starting directly with lunch wasn’t subtle.

“I texted you early enough this morningthat I thought I’d catch you before work, but you were already there, weren’tyou?” I worked early, but he had to have been at his desk well before seven forme to have caught him already at the office.

Asa finally shrugged. “I left work earlyfor my appointment with my therapist, so I made up the time going in early. Ididn’t want you to think I was obsessive about work.”

He probably was, but I let that go for now.

“How did your appointment go?” Then Irealized he might not want to talk about it. “Just let me know if that’s toopersonal for now. Safewords aren’t simply for scenes.”

It couldn’t be avoided later, but I’dunderstand if he wasn’t comfortable with that kind of conversation yet.

Asa shook his head, being very Asa with hisdownplay about any need for privacy in this situation. “Oh no, your questionwould have to be a lot more personal than that to make me pause. It was good. Iactually got permission from him to give his name and I wanted to talk to youabout that.”

His name?

Hadn’t Asa said the man’s name before?

Maybe not.

There could only be one reason that Asawouldn’t have said his name. “I know him, don’t I?”

He gave a sheepish shrug. “It turns outthat you do. Dr. Sheppard said to say hello and that he thought we would begood together.”

It really was a small world, but it wasgood to know.

“You’ve been seeing Miles since theprevious doctor didn’t understand your needs?” That made sense, actually. Therewere only a handful of doctors at the club, so there couldn’t be too many inthe area that would truly understand the lifestyle.

“Yes. Before I went, he made sure Iunderstood that he goes to the club on a regular basis with his Daddy, so thechances of me meeting someone there that he wasn’t at least familiar with was infinitesimallysmall.” Asa gave me a relaxed shrug like it hadn’t really mattered.

“But your Master would have questions aboutthat part of your life anyway. Well, he would if he were any Master at all. Ican understand why it wasn’t a concern.” Especially not with the way Asa hadlooked at situations in the past.

And it seemed like those parts of hispersonality hadn’t changed.

“Exactly.” Asa waved a hand and relaxedback against the seat of his chair. “He was worried that it might be some kindof issue with client-patient confidentiality, but the BDSM community is toointertwined to worry about that.”

I had to agree.

“Some people who are highly focused onprivacy might have an issue, but I can’t see you feeling that way.” Taking asip of my water, I smiled at the way he was playing with his straw wrapper.Sitting still without having something specific to focus on had never been hisstrong suit. It was one of the reasons school had been so hard when he wasyounger.

“Asa, place your hands on your thighs andleave them still. You may move them again when our food arrives.” He obeyed, but I could see that he was desperately trying not to question me. Because hewas so good, I answered the unasked query.

“You’re fidgeting, but that’s not thereason I told you to put your hands down.” I paused long enough to make sure hewas focusing on me, and not mentally complaining in some kind of frustratedinternal monologue. “Dominating you can come in a lot of different forms. Justmaking you sit like that and knowing you’re going to be doing your best tofollow my order is…well, let’s just say I enjoy it.”

Just the hint of control and what it did tome was enough to have his eyes going unfocused, and he made a breathy sound.“You do…this small…I mean…”

Getting a coherent question from him didn’tseem like it would be happening anytime soon, but I knew what he was asking soI responded. “Yes, an order this small and impossible for anyone else to noticeis something I would enjoy. Think of it like a subtle collar no one elserealizes is the proof of your Master’s ownership.”

Asa swallowed several times as his bodyshifted, probably remembering not to move his hands. “Is that the type ofcollar you would give to your sub?”
