I tried to imagine how it would feel withthe nameless, faceless Dom I might meet. “I don’t think always on would be easyto deal with, but maybe if it was with the right person?”

Maybe?

Conner seemed to understand what I wasgetting at. “Yeah, sometimes what we think we want changes with the rightperson.”

“Yes.” I just wasn’t sure what that lookedlike.

“Alright, no lifestyle Doms to begin with. Now I think I know a Dom who might be a really good fit for you, but if thereare no sparks, I’ll introduce you to a few other guys.” It couldn’t be thateasy.

Nothing in my life had ever been that easy.

I must have relaxed enough to let myskepticism show because Conner laughed. “At least you’re not blank anymore.”

Standing, he finished his water and smiled, lookingdetermined. But I was back to remembering the nearly naked part andscrambled to grab my water to distract myself. However, the damned thing wassomehow empty.

Conner ignored my odd behavior and took myarm, pulling me to stand like he was my new best friend. “Let’s go find you aDom.”

And once again I was wondering what I’dgotten myself into.

Chapter 2

Porter

“I don’t know if I’m concerned orintrigued, but Conner is heading in our direction.” Stuart’s dry comment had usall smiling and shifting in our seats to get a better view.

“Sober?” I turned and had to chuckle. WhenI’d seen him before, wiggling and talking with a new guy, I hadn’t been able totell. For a while they’d looked serious, but then the other man had givenConner a sexy grin, so it was hard to tell what they’d been up to.

Stuart grinned. “Sober and without hisshadow.”

Conner and Ben were usually joined at thehip, so it was unusual to see him with someone else. “Who’s the new guy?”

He looked a bit like he could use a friend.

Everyone shrugged, but Stuart answered…somewhat.“He came in earlier, and judging by the looks that went around the room, no oneknows where to place him. I’m voting Dom.”

I rolled my eyes, but Warner chimed in.“I’m going to guess straight and stumbled into the wrong club, and now hedoesn’t know how to politely escape Conner.”

Laughing would just encourage them, so Ishook my head. “Be nice. Besides, Conner is sober, so he would be easier toescape.”

When he was drunk, he was so sexy it washypnotic.

I’d never metanyonestraight enoughto escape him.

Conner was all excitement and wiggles as hecame over with the quiet, blank-faced twenty-something guy he was draggingalong, but he was also eagle-eyed and focused on me. It was an interestingexperience because I’d never been in that position before. “Hello, Conner, howare you?”

Dom or sub, I wasn’t sure why Conner hadbrought him to me.

I wasn’t the type to train another Dom, andI wasn’t the flashiest Dom either, so I was a bit confused about why I’d beensingled out.

Conner gave me a teasing grin and shiftedhis body just enough to highlight how little he was wearing. “I’m doingwonderful, Porter. I wanted to introduce you to a new member, Landon, and seeif you wouldn’t mind showing him around.”

Landon didn’t give any pushback at theidea, but he was so reserved I couldn’t read him.

No matter what the tattooed hunk wascurious about, I needed to get a few things cleared up before I agreed toanything. “Is that something you would like, Landon?”

He was perfectly still for several longmoments before he nodded. “Yes.”

It wasn’t much, but the quiet answer wasfirm and something about his voice weaved its way through me.
