“Yes.” Nodding, I began caressing up theinside of his arm as I spoke. “Nearly everything in BDSM can be done inincrements. If you enjoy pain, we up the intensity of what we’re doing untilyou love it. If you prefer less pain but more restraints or something likethat, we keep things like sounds low intensity.”

Landon swallowed, nodding and looking moreconfident. “And you’ll be fine with that because there will always be somethingthat we can find that we both enjoy.”

“Yes.” I squeezed his hand before goingback to caressing it. “And honestly, I’m not a sadist. I would enjoy making youhappy if we figure out that you like it, but it’s not something I need.”

Landon smiled. “So there’s no right orwrong answer with that one. Good to know.”

“Yep.” Since communication worked bothways, I opened up more. “I would say the top things I really enjoy arerestraints, edging, and toys like sounds or floggers. Mild pain that’s moreabout helping a sub find subspace.”

“None of that scares me.” He chuckled. “Itall makes me nervous but not in a bad way.”

“I’m glad.” I grinned. “And being nervousjust adds spice to a scene. It can make you even more aroused.”

He coughed and shifted in his seat as hetried not to grin. “I think I’ve figured that part out.”

Laughing, I couldn’t resist giving his lapa leering grin. “I’m glad.”

And since he’d brought the subject up, Ikept pushing. “Am I correct to assume that you’re indicating thatmy…explorations can continue further south when we have privacy again?”

He was quiet for a moment before he pushedhimself to answer. “Yes, I’d like that…and I think I would like to touch you?”

It wasn’t the most confident of requests, but I was proud that he managed to get the words out. “I would love that.”

“But you’ll still control…everything likethat, right?” Since his expression said he obviously wanted that answer to beyes, I didn’t hesitate to answer.

“Yes. We talk now and get to know moreabout each other, and when we get back to my place, we’ll go back to how it wasat the club with me taking the lead.” Relief seemed to rush through him becauseI got a grin that lit up his face.

But it lasted for only seconds before ourwaiter took that moment to decide to be helpful and come check on us. As theman walked up, Landon’s mask slipped back into place, but for some reason itmade me feel special. It was probably silly, but it felt like his happiness aswell as his pleasure would just belong to me.

The caveman in me decided he liked thatidea.

Chapter 7

Landon

“So you’re really retired?” I couldn’tresist teasing him as we sat down on his couch. “I didn’t realize you were thatold.”

Porter rolled his eyes, leaning backagainst the arm of the couch. “Yes, I’m ancient.”

Shrugging, he gestured with his handstoward my feet in agimmegesture as he spoke. “I’m going to figure outsomething to do, but the offer for the business came around at the right timeand I was ready for a change.”

Lifting my feet to his lap felt weird, butsince I’d kicked off my shoes at the door, I had a feeling I knew what he wasgoing to do. Turning so I was mirroring him, I stretched my feet out until theywere on his lap. As he massaged one foot, I moaned and leaned back against theside of the couch, closing my eyes.

I could hear the pleasure in Porter’s voiceas he saw my reaction, so I didn’t feel embarrassed as he continued. “I’m justnot sure what I want to do next. I realized afterward how my life was nearlycompletely centered around work, so I’m trying not to do that again.”

“Yeah, I can understand that. The workingbeing your only focus part. Not the sale part.” Porter chuckled but kept up thefirm massage, making it impossible to do anything but relax. “It’s nice to gettime for yourself, but I don’t know what I’d do if I was retired.”

Porter groaned. “I’m running into thatproblem too. I’m more of a homebody, so traveling is interesting but notsomething I want to do for years and years. I’ll probably look at starting anew business at some point. Once I figure out what catches my eye.”

I couldn’t imagine having that much time tofigure out getting a new job, but the idea of not working was just as foreign.“Well, no point in jumping into something unless you really like it, so you’llhave to get a hobby, I guess.”

If he didn’t have to work then the salemust have been pretty good for him, but since I didn’t really care about that,I brushed the thought aside. I was just glad he wasn’t struggling. Watching himgo through the same things that Mom had would’ve been too hard.

He chuckled. “I’m not going to learn toknit or figure out how to make birdfeeders, so I guess you’ll have to be my newhobby.”

He said it almost teasingly enough I couldlaugh it off, but there was something in his voice that made me open one eye.“How serious are you about that?”

Porter laughed, but the shrug he gave mesaid I might be right. However, instead of directly answering, he stroked myfoot and talked around it. “I didn’t complain at all about your work this week, did I?”
