For some reason, Dakota didn’t appreciatebeing searched.

“Stop that. I’m not allowed to have paper,so if I have some you can’t steal it.” He started shoving Jonah away.

“No fighting.” I shook my finger at Jonahand tried to look stern like Silas. “You can’t steal something he has to hide. That’s not nice.”

Jonah gave me wide eyes that looked so sad.“But I have to get the idea down.”

I glanced over at Austin and then Tanner.“What do we do?”

They always had good ideas.

Tanner sighed. “We’re going to have to goget him paper.”

Austin nodded. “And something to writewith.”

“Big paper.” Jonah made his arms wide.“Big.”

Bradley leaned forward and gave us all astern look. “We don’t have paper that big here.”

Jonah slouched over and pouted. “But it’sgoing to be wonderful.”

“We can’t tell him no.” Austin sat upstraighter and almost got it, but he tipped over too far and started to fall.“Shit. Floor’s moving again.”

“Not if you sit very still.” That was thekey to keeping everything in place.

“But I can’t sit still.” Austin reached hisarms out and braced himself against the floor. “The art supplies are in thehouse.”

“My pencils.” Jonah sat up so fast he fellbackward. “Shit. Floor.”

They needed to learn how to talk nicer toit. “No cursing. That’s why it doesn’t like you.”

“That’s going to be hard.” Austin gave thefloor a pat. “I’m sorry.”

Jonah shook his head. “I don’t think thatwill work.”

Bradley frowned at him. “Do you want to getyour shit or not? Apologize to the floor and let’s get this mission started.”

“Like a secret agent mission?” Beingcareful to be nice to the floor, I sat up and managed to not tip over. “We’renot dressed for that.”

I glanced over at Austin. “You can’t go ona secret agent mission in a dress. It sparkles.”

Austin looked down at himself. “We mighthave to do something about that. You’re right.”

“If he gets to color, I want paper. I haveto make notes about Wade’s story. He’s right. Fairy tales are important.”

“Especially for sexy blond twin twinkswho’re kinky.” Austin sighed. “The next generation has it so much easier.”

I gave his shoulder a pat. “They’re goingto be very grateful for everything you’ve done when you meet them.”

“Not too grateful. Silas will probably sayno to anything fun.” Austin sighed. “But maybe if I’m nice enough they’ll kiss.Have they kissed for you?”

I shook my head. “I’m pretty sure Griffinwill say no to that. His family and all. And I spent last week avoiding them sothey wouldn’t see me leaving Griffin’s house all rumpled the next morning. ButI remembered to bring new clothes yesterday and I invited them to dinner.”

Just thinking about it made me grab myglass again. Somehow it was almost empty, so Austin helped me to refill it.Yes, more moonshine was definitely what I needed. “They’re his family so theycouldn’t see my walk of shame. But is it a walk of shame if I wasn’t ashamed?”

I turned to Dakota. “What should I callit?”

He stared at me for a second. “Arelationship?”
