“I think you’re the one who wants to befucked back here. Silas tell you no?” I grinned when Austin sighed.

“Yes, he’s being terribly mean and says Ihave to be a good host before I get to come.” He gave me a pleading look. “Comehelp me talk him into just a small orgasm.”

Laughing, I nodded. “I’m pretty sure he’sgoing to say no, though, because clearly, you’ve been up to something.”

“Who, me?” Austin did that shockedexpression too well for it to be believable.

“Yeah, you.” Standing up, I laid theblanket back on the couch and looked down at my outfit. “What do you thinkGriffin thought of this?”

It was outrageous and something Matthewwould have thought twice about letting me out of the house in, but what aboutGriffin?

Austin snorted. “Yeah, just friends andhe’s not into you. Come on. We’ve got my sex life to fix, not yours.”

“You’re…” I waved my hand. “I wasn’ttalking about sex.”

He had that on the brain tonight.

Griffin had always been just a friend andthat was it. Just because Matthew was gone wouldn’t change that…would it?

Chapter 4

Griffin

“You’re lucky he didn’t toss you out onyour ears. Flirting when you’re supposed to be working?” I narrowed my gaze atthe two troublemakers, but they just giggled.

“Hmm? Is the alpha who disappeared lastnight for at least thirty minutes to watch a flogging and play cuddle bug withthe cute omega the person who gets to lecture anyone?” Ari grinned when Isighed. “That’s what I thought.”

Seth leaned closer to Ari and gave him aninnocent expression that was very well done. “He had to go meet the boss. I’msure he didn’t do anything naughty. We all agreed we had to behave since wewere there on the job.”

Seth looked more innocent, which was one ofthe only reasons I could tell them apart, but he was just as big a brat as hisbrother. “I didn’t do anything I told you guys not to. I simply met an oldfriend and he needed aftercare, so I stepped in for that.”

Two identical faces turned to me withexcitedly curious expressions, but it was Ari who spoke. “What kind of oldfriend?”

“What do you mean?” I shrugged. “An oldfriend I hadn’t seen in a while.”

That was basically true, so I didn’t feelbad about leaving any other details out. The nosy monsters didn’t need to knowanything else.

“Like old friend as in a sub you used toknow? Come on. It’s a BDSM club.” Leaning over the counter, Seth smiled. “Wereyou in a relationship before? Which sub?”

Rolling my eyes, I told myself I should’veknown better. “Honestly, just an old friend. I used to be friends with hisalpha before he died. I didn’t realize they were in the lifestyle until I sawhim last night in a scene. I stepped in to give him aftercare and to see himagain. His alpha’s death was rough and he pulled away from almost everyone fora long time.”

“Aww.” Seth could never resist a good sobstory. “Is he doing okay now? What kind of scene? What did he say when he sawyou there?”

The questions could have kept coming, butthey stopped when I held up my hands. “First of all, is this really yourbusiness?”

The two identical heads nodded.

“Fine.” Heading over to the coffee pot, Istarted making more just to give myself time to think.

When the coffee started brewing, I turnedback and leaned against the counter. “Okay, he’s doing better now. It was theflogging demo that was going on when you guys were making cow eyes at thesingle alphas and he was surprised but not upset, and it was good.”

It’d been wonderful, but admitting thatwould lead to even more questions.

“Was the owner mad we were flirting? Thebossy omega in the skirt said he was going to refill the trays and told us tokeep smiling, we were doing great.” Seth shrugged. “We just flirted with thesingle ones who looked kind of lonely.”

“And we didn’t have sex with any of them oncompany time.” Ari beamed, clearly pleased with his restraint.

Because that wasn’t always the case.
