He had that masculine look that wouldcontrast perfectly with them.

Oh, that would be—no, no new book ideas.

I had to stay focused or Wade would escape. This was more important than making notes…and that was something I didn’t sayoften.

“Oh my…” Wade was back to wonderfullyspeechless.

“I know.” A confident smile could talkpeople into a lot…Austin taught me that. “It’s going to be great.”

Austin was quite helpful sometimes.

“You’re trying to kill me.” Wade wasstaring at me like I was an alien.

But it wasn’t a no, so unless I heard asafeword I was going with the assumption that he thought it was just as greatan idea as I did. Besides, that scene was so hot that even if we kept itreasonably sex free it would still be fun.

Wade was surprisingly easy to maneuver tomy closet, but as I gave him a pair of the harem pants and sent him to mybathroom to get changed, I remembered Tristan.

Warning him would probably be helpful.

Sending a quick text, I grabbed my pantsand started to strip.

This was going to be fun.

Chapter 20

Tristan

What the fuck was he up to?

I have an idea. You’re going to loveit. Mostly teasing. No sex. Finger foods would be helpful. Less messy.

The text was intriguing and frightening allat the same time.

What was the most frustrating thing, however, was that he’d gotten distracted with whatever plan he’d concocted andhad probably left his phone someplace weird because he wasn’t answering back. Iwas going to get home and find it in the fridge again.

Knowing Dakota, his idea had to have comefrom one of his books, but the comments about food and no sex weren’t enough tohelp me guess. He had a startling number of books with scenes that combinedfood and teasing of some sort.

They seemed to happen when he wrote sexscenes hungry.

Rowan had teased that meeting Dakota wouldruin the magic of the stories for me, but I’d loved getting to see not only hisbooks as they were written but the method to his madness and creativity. Seeingthe process that the wizard took didn’t make the magic any less special.

Of course, I hadn’t seen the text untilafter I’d ordered Chinese, but I was good with chopsticks so hopefully thatwould help the finger food problem with whatever he’d planned.

The drive back to the house seemed to drag.I kept trying to imagine which scene he was recreating, but I wasn’t coming upwith anything reasonable…especially with Wade there.

I knew they were technically more thanfriends when it came down to semantics, but we’d never taken things too far.Aside from a bit of cuddling, we’d behaved ourselves. Not that I thought itwould be an issue if we’d crossed a few lines.

Dakota had been open to the idea of playingaround with other people at the club as long as we had very clear boundaries andwe didn’t have sex with anyone else, but I wasn’t sure he’d meant Wade.

Besides, his text had said sex was off thetable.

Right?

Refusing to pull out my phone and riskkilling myself over his crazy text, I focused on the road and not letting thefood go flying. By the time I’d pulled up in front of the house, the smell hadme ravenous and I was beyond curious.

Calmly getting out of the car, I grabbedthe food and then headed inside, remembering to lock the door behind me sinceDakota couldn’t always be counted on to do it. I paused, listening to anysounds that might give me a clue about what they were up to.

Quiet giggles coming from the living roomDakota hardly ever used had me even more curious. It was a beautiful room Icould only assume Austin had decorated with Dakota in mind, but the only timeshe was ever in that room was when I suggested watching a movie. Otherwise, everyone filed into his office when they came over.
