Wade’s giggle from the other side of theroom said at the very leasthewas that drunk. “You know there’s onlyone way to really settle this one way or the other.”

“We already did.” Rolling my eyes was a loteasier than shaking my head, but they felt kind of like dice rolling around inmy skull. “I said so. He said so.”

I was pretty sure he’d said so.

Austin giggled. “That’s not enough. We’regoing to need proof he can stay hard through that much pain.”

“Huh?” I’d lost complete track of theconversation. “No more dick tattoos. You guys would pick something weird andhe’d end up with some kind of monster mouth at the end of his dick. I’m notletting him fuck me with something like that.”

I felt Jonah shiver beside me, so I forcedmy head to turn his direction. His eyes were wide as saucers. “They could put amonster head on the end of his dick?”

I had a feeling I knew the direction hisnightmares would take the next time he fell asleep.

Sitting up, I ignored the way the room spunand tried to make everything still enough to shoot daggers at Austin, but hekept spinning…or maybe it was the room.

“Stand still long enough for me to throwsomething else at you, damn it.” I waved one of the pillows in his direction.“You’re giving Jonah nightmares.”

And possibly me too.

Letting the pillow go flying, somehow itended up hitting Dakota in the head even though I’d thought he was on the otherside of the room. “Damn it. Stop moving.”

Sputtering, Dakota threw the pillow back atme but somehow hit Jonah who was still sitting there wide-eyed. “Hey!”

At least he wasn’t scared of monster dicksanymore.

Chapter 14

Simon

The giggles coming through the phone shouldhave been a prank call, but I had a feeling I recognized the dirty laughter.“Bradley?”

It wasn’t his phone number and he reallywasn’t a person I’d picture calling me giggling, but I wasn’t sure who else itcould be. My friends weren’t gigglers.

“Jonah’s afraid the monster on the end ofyour dick will give him nightmares.”

Yep, it was Bradley, but the rest of itdidn’t make sense.

“What monster?”

He sighed like I was stupid.

We were going to talk about that when hestarted making sense again, but for the time being, I just waited. “The oneAustin thinks should be tattooed on there so you’ll come and it will be like amonster is eating you. Or eating me. Or maybe just spitting. That would begross, but he thinks it will look sexy. I’ve told him it’s stupid, but you needto come fix this before I throw him out the window.”

Then the seemingly drunk-off-his-ass grumphad the nerve to hang up the phone.

“Damn it.” Looking down, I took stock ofthe sweatpants I’d thrown on earlier and shrugged. It’d do. Slipping on myshoes, I grabbed my phone and keys before heading over to Shane’s. Banging onthe door at almost midnight probably wasn’t the right way to handle thesituation but calling him was never my first thought.

He threw open the door, scowling at me.“What? Someone better be dead because it’s—”

“Do you think I’m confused about the time, fucker?” I jabbed a finger against his chest. “I just got a call from my grumpy-assboyfriend who was giggling and pissy at the same time and drunk off his ass.Where are they?”

Shane blinked several times. “They weren’tsupposed to be drinking. They were going to talk about the club. Damn it.”

He turned and marched deeper into the housebefore answering my question, so of course I had to follow the asshole. “Damnit. Where is Bradley? He’s threatening to throw Austin out the window.”

I wasn’t going to mention the dickconversation because I still wasn’t sure what the fuck that was all about.Repeating it would make me sound just as nuts.

Shane wasn’t paying a damned bit ofattention. He just kept pressing buttons on his cell before putting it to hisear. “Yes, I do know what time it is. They’re drunk again. Simon just marchedover here saying something about a drunk call where Bradley is threatening tothrow Austin out the window. Yeah, Wade’s, so he’d splat on the way down.”
