I could see him starting to give me another line-of-shit answer before he mentally decided to fuck it. “You tell them. I’m just done with everything.”

My poor baby.

“You need to tell Jonah first so he can warn his friends.” Because I could guarantee Graham hadn’t done that yet. He was so good at faking normal; he just didn’t realize that sometimes you had to let people see the real you.

Graham nodded but didn’t give me a verbal response.

“What time is Jonah coming in tomorrow?” I’d made sure I was completely free going forward because I hadn’t wanted to miss out on any chance to get to know Jonah and his friends.

“Nine in the morning.”

Perfect.

“Okay, great. Did you still want to go see that new spy movie this weekend?” I decided that changing the subject might be a good idea. Some things he needed to mentally prepare for and some things he just needed to be surprised with…and me finally meeting Jonah fell into the surprise category.

He got sexier every time I saw him.

As Jonah leaned over the table, checking out the remaining changes Graham was insisting were important, his ass arched out, making it hard to think of anything professional. His hair was disheveled like he’d been running his fingers through it and I couldn’t help but imagine how appealing he’d look right after sex.

I had to fight to remind myself that I wanted to flirt and get to know him a bit, not seduce him. But he always smelled so good and that made it hard to focus on anything but tasting him.

“I think those look good. Are we still on track to start on Monday?” He straightened, but it didn’t make his ass look any less edible.

And that was my cue.

“Yes, as long as Graham has stopped hovering over the plans, we’re ready.” Stepping into the room, I smiled at Jonah as he turned. If I let a little more heat show in my eyes than was appropriate, I wasn’t going to feel guilty.

Hiding my interest in him wasn’t the plan. I’d been patient long enough.

Walking into the room, I stepped close and held out my hand. “Russell…Russ to most people. I’m Graham’s…business partner.”

There was just enough of a pause that Jonah’s eyes flicked between us. He might have ignored it, but Graham glanced down at the plans and ended up looking terribly guilty. As Jonah looked back at me, his eyes widened for a split second before he got his expression under control.

By the time his hand reached out to shake mine, he was back to looking every inch the proper businessman omega. “Nice to meet you.”

I wanted to get to know the real Jonah, not the fake one. Hopefully, I could make him understand that. I let my fingers linger on his for a few moments too long as I smiled and just enjoyed the way his body felt against mine.

I felt a tiny shiver go through him as we touched and I wanted to lean in closer to get a better whiff of his scent, but I behaved myself…somewhat. “I’ve been looking forward to it, but so far Graham has kept you all to himself.”

I paused for a second before I started slowly pulling my hand away. “To go over the plans, of course.”

Jonah was clearly following at least some of the subtext because his eyes kept darting between us, but he wasn’t willing to call me out on it. “I can’t wait to see how it all turns out.”

“It’s going to be a beautiful club.” I stepped around him just enough to point to the main lounge area on the plans. “This section especially is going to be fabulous, but I can’t wait to see how the themed rooms come together.”

He swallowed nervously, probably not sure how to react to seeing that someone else knew. It wasn’t until that moment I realized he might have assumed that the rest of us would be left in the dark. “The rest of the crew is going to be excited once they realize it’s not just some boring hangout for rich guys.”

Jonah cracked a smile, visibly relaxing. “You’re sure about that?”

I let my grin widen. “Oh yeah, no doubt at all. We’ve got the mostinterestingcrew you’ll ever find, and provided the dues are manageable, I’m thinking you’ll have your first members faster than you think.”

He swallowed and peeked over at Graham before glancing back at me. “Just the crew?”

He might be a bit nervous, but he wasn’t afraid.

I looked over at Graham who was still pretending to study the plans and then back to Jonah, giving him a wink. “I don’t know. I guess that’s going to depend on if you allow couples in. I like to explore things with my…partner and I don’t want to go anywhere we’re not both wanted.”
