It was going to come in handy.
“It’s going to be fine.” I gave them both aconfident smile. “We’re all going to be professional.”
And a little interesting.

“I can take himhome, right? He’d look good trapped in my basement.” I leaned into Tanner andsighed. “Please?”
“You don’t have a basement.”
“I’ll build one.”
“Keeping him locked up would make him wantto kill you, not dominate you.”
“Semantics.” I waved my hand and turned myhead to give Tanner puppy eyes. “I’ll just keep him for a little while.”
Shane chuckled. “I think there might be abetter way to get what you want.”
“Don’t be logical. Logic will just end upwith him being a sub and me still being single.” Logic was a bigger bitch thanme.
Tanner snorted as we watched Bradleynegotiating percentages and terms with the gruff alpha. “I’m pretty sure he’snot a sub.”
Straightening, I watched the sexy alpha andsighed. “He’s going to end up already being married to some boring omega withno personality and no interest in anything related to BDSM.”
“No ring.”
That didn’t seem to matter these days.
“Didn’t you know those have turned intoarchaic signs of ownership that are no longer appropriate?” I chuckled asTanner gaped at me. “Really, I read it recently. It’s this growing trend tochange how we see marriage.”
“That’s taking equality too far. I want afucking ring when I get married.” Tanner was focused on me, so he didn’t seethe little smile that ghosted Shane’s face before he quickly pushed it away.
“I agree, but be careful who you say that to.”Society was truly lost when I seemed sane.
Before Tanner could grumble any more,Bradley looked over and nodded. Finally. Fidgeting slightly, I ran my handsover my shirt and slacks, wishing for the millionth time that I was wearing askirt. I’d have looked so much better with the fabric draping around my legs.
Not that this was supposed to be aboutfinding a date.
“Looks like he’s ready.” I gave Bradley apolite smile and started heading over with Tanner and Shane following closebehind.
“So, gentlemen, is everything worked out?”I certainly hoped so because they’d been talking terms for over half an hourand they were boring me to tears. I loved business negotiations as much as thenext guy, but this was ridiculous.
“I think so.” Bradley nodded and lookedover at Silas who only gave the barest of nods.
“That’s the best thing I’ve heard all day.You were killing me.”
Bradley snorted, but Silas gave me a longlook before he actually questioned me. “Not much for the business side ofthings?”
I rolled my eyes. “Sweetie, that’s neverbeen a problem. It’s just no fun when I’m not trying to win. Negotiating isboring when we’re trying to be polite so everyone walks away happy.”
Tanner barked out a laugh as Bradley rolledhis eyes. Silas gave me another one of those appraising looks before he nodded.“Fair enough.”
I really tried, honestly. But his deepvoice sent shivers through me.
Jonah snickered and I could see Dakotamentally taking notes for some kind of scene I’d show up in later. Notbothering to apologize, because the man was so damned edible I’d have to bedead not to respond, I moved the conversation back to the toys.
“I’m glad you're willing to work with us.”See, I could be professional.
