Silas’s chest jerked up and down as hesuppressed a laugh.

“Doing one good interview with a big namewill clear up the rumors and then hopefully something else will grab theirattention.” And if nothing came up organically, I had a few favors I could callin.

“But what’s our backup plan if she doesn’twant the interview?” Tanner was so serious that it was cute.

Silas barked out a laugh. “You don’t followthe social side of the news much, do you?”

No, but it was so sweet that my Silas did.

Tanner gave him a look that said exactlywhat he thought of that question. But his answer was much more careful. “Idon’t have time.”

Tanner thought I was smart enough that Ishould ignore the media like he did and focus on my business ventures. But whathe didn’t understand was that would be such a boring life. Until Shane hadfinally stepped out of the shadows and shown Tanner how he felt, all Tanner haddone was work.

That would have killed me. Who wanted alife where all they did was work from literally sunup to sundown? Yes, I knewhow lucky I was because of my background, but even without it, I couldn’t seeme choosing that life. Now, a bartender in a sexy club or adult novelty storeowner…yeah, those sounded like fun.

Silas was still grinning as he watchedTanner. “Even I can guarantee that they’ll want him on. We don’t need a backupplan unless he decides to go with a different network. Personally, I’d go withErica Conner, but that’s just my preference.”

He was the perfect Master.

“She’d be a good option too, but I oweMaggie a favor.” I giggled and gave him a smile filled with sexy innocence. “Imight have gotten caught streaking with my old college fraternity last year, but she managed to keep it quiet. I didn’t care, but the frat was worried aboutlosing their charter if they made too much news.”

Silas chuckled. “I think I’m going to wanta copy of those pictures.”

I moaned as his hands tightened around me.Turning to kiss him, I wasn’t able to duck when Bradley threw one of my ownpillows at me. “Hey.”

Silas laughed, but gave me kisses andappropriate sympathy. Bradley groaned. “No more. We’re working.”

I groaned, stealing one more kiss beforeshooting a dirty look at Bradley. “I’ve been working forhours.”

And now I had Silas to cuddle with and he’dgiven me a sexy pirate driver. How could I be expected to concentrate all daywith all the eye candy in the room? Even Graham had decided to hang around andmake sure nothing affected the club.

That was just an excuse to watch Jonah, buthe still counted as eye candy too.

“We’re almost done, drama queen.” Bradleylooked around the room. “Anything else?”

“How are you going to tell them you met?”Wade glanced between Shane and me. “I don’t think the truth is a really goodanswer.”

“Oh yeah, that would be bad.” I snuggledback into Silas. “I think that would be a good time to bring up the omegarights issue. I’ll just say I’ve been looking into it—I’ll make that sound alittle naughty so it gets more attention—and then I’ll explain that Iapproached him to get his perspective on the law. After that, I’ll make itobvious we clicked and go from there.”

I shifted and put my hands on either sideof Silas’s face, giving his head a little shake. “They’re going to love thissexy scowl.”

Clay barked out a laugh. “If he makes itout of there without giving away too much of your relationship, I’ll eat myshoe.”

Releasing Silas, I gave his scowl a kissand giggled. “That’s going to be hot. And really, they’ll expect something alittle illicit. I’ll play up how I’ve been wicked and then hint that he’s sobig and strong. It will be just taboo enough that if they see anything weird, they’ll focus on that part.”

Jonah nodded, finally pulling his gaze awayfrom Graham. “That’s going to shock them enough. I don’t think they’ll want toknow anything else, especially since this will air on daytime TV or at the veryleast some kind of prime-time interview.”

Silas snorted. “Does no one else think thatit’s a little weird that we’re talking about me being on a national interview?”

Bradley snorted. “Try international. Theylove the drama queen in China.”

I just beamed. “Because I’m so cute.”

“And deranged.” Bradley looked at Silas.“They’re either going to see you as a stabilizing influence or love the wayyou’re dragging him to the dark side.”

“Oh, um, we might want to see about gettingthe store a little bit of security until this blows over.” I shrugged and shotSilas an apologetic look. “We won’t give out the name or address and you’repretty hard to find online, but eventually someone will figure it out.”

He groaned. “This is going to kill mybusiness.”
