“No.” Austin sounded like a teacher who wasfrustrated at explaining things to his students. “Oversharing would be tellingyou what happened when we finally made it inside.”
Then he moaned and started wiggling againstme just to drive Bradley insane.
Clay snorted. “I’m starting to think thisis the tamest part about your relationship that could have ended up online.”
Laughter rolled through the group of dirtyomegas, and even Graham, who’d been standing back quietly, chuckled. Ishrugged. No point in lying. “Oh yeah, this is frustrating but very vanilla.”
Austin waved his hand, scoffing. “And I’mstill wearing clothes and not kneeling or anything. This is going to beannoying, but it will blow over as soon as something else distracts them.”
As the laughter quieted, Tanner’sexpression turned more serious. “I’m very concerned about the photos frominside the store, however. Those could only have been taken by the police.”
I had to agree.
Austin frowned and I could see the wheelsturning in his head. “It’s the angry one. That was where he was standing, andhe was the one I kept grinning at to poke him. He hated seeing the flirty omegamoron get one over on him.”
He was right, unfortunately. “I’m sorrythis is coming back on you.” I kissed Austin’s head as he cuddled up againstme. “I feel like this is my fault.”
“No.” Austin’s head popped up. “If I hadn’tdriven him crazy, this would have been—”
“Oh no.” Bradley’s sharp voice made everyonejump. “We’re not watching you two martyrs figure out who’s more to blame whenit’s that damned cop’s fault. And really, we knew you couldn't keep this underwraps for too long. He’s Austin Fucking Johnson; sooner or later they wouldhave gotten curious about what their favorite naughty omega was up to.”
He rolled his eyes as Austin grinned andcharged right back in on his tirade. “This is a good way of distracting peoplefrom the club and it will help bring the problem with sex stores to light. Useit to your advantage.”
“And we’ll clean house at the policestation while we’re at it.” Austin straightened and rubbed his hands togetheras his battle face took over. “Bertie is going to owe me for not suing theentire police department.”
Tanner grinned. “It will be good to havethat favor in our back pocket.”
Yeah, that was an understatement.
“Come on.” Dakota sighed. “Back inside. Weneed to figure out the best way to use this and what everyone will say beforeanyone leaves the property.”
Austin sighed. “But I was supposed to get—”
“No oversharing, drama queen.” Bradleyshook his head, holding a hand out. “Whatever you two were going to get up todefinitely falls under the TMI rule.”
Austin grinned wickedly. “There won’t beany TMI once the club is open.”
Bradley groaned but everyone else laughedas they headed back inside. I started to follow, but Austin took my hand, holding me back. As they shut the front door, Austin sighed and looked up at meworriedly. “Are you really okay with this? It’s going to be a circus.”
“Yes.” We’d been dancing around ourfeelings and where we were going for a while, but now it was time to layeverything out on the table—before the vultures descended and had himquestioning our relationship. “I knew who you were the first time I laid eyeson you.”
He gave me a faint smile. “But—”
“No, pet.” I stroked his face and pulledhim tight. “I knewexactlywhat I was getting into. I’ve followed everycrazy thing you’ve done for years. I was prepared for all kinds of insanity, but none of it would have mattered because there’s just something about you.”
I kissed him gently then kept pouringeverything out to make sure he understood. “I knew from the first time youbatted those sexy lashes at me that I needed to see where it would go betweenus. I’m honestly surprised it’s taken them this long to figure it out.”
He shrugged, but I could see the stressfading from him. “We’ve spent a lot of time in bed.”
Laughing, I kissed his forehead again.“Very true.”
He laid his head on my chest and startedstroking me gently. “But we’ve talked and I think we know each other prettywell at this point.”
Was he fishing to see if I thought we weregoing too fast?
I lifted his chin and smiled at his needy, flirty smile. Little manipulator. “Pet, nothing else I learn about you couldchange how I feel.”
Trouble threw his arms around me, grinningear-to-ear. “Why?”
