And the handful of them who might not be so vanilla would probably know how to keep a secret.

Now that I knew what to look for, I was starting to think that some of my relatives weren’t as boring as they’d tried to make everyone think they were. I just wasn’t sure how to approach that conversation, so I was letting it go for the time being.

“If you’re a very good omega for me today, I’ll give you a reward when we get home.” I bit down hard enough on the soft lobe of his ear to drag a moan out of my sexy omega. “How about a nice long spanking and maybe try out the cock cage? I bet my dirty boy would love that.”

Before he could respond, we both jumped as someone knocked on the window.

“Fucking hell.” Tanner groaned and shot me a frustrated look as I chuckled.

“At least it’s only Simon.”

“Again.” Tanner huffed and rolled his eyes at both Simon and me. “At least it’s only Simonagain. I don’t know why I let you keep getting me into this situation.”

I smiled, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek as I waved at Simon who was standing there grinning like a lunatic. “Because you’re a dirty little omega who likes being shown off and used.”

Pulling back as he sucked in a breath, I gave him my best innocent face. “You ready to meet everyone?”

He snorted. “Sure, now that they’ve seen me making out with you and I have an erection. Great time to meet everyone.”

“The flowers are so big they’ll never know.” Since Tanner was looking at me like he did at Austin right before he threw something at him, I thought getting out of the car was the smart thing to do.

Opening the door, I looked back at him. “Let me help with the door.”

Simon rolled his eyes as I climbed out. “He’s a big boy, stop harping on him.”

“It’s a big thing of flowers. Back off, you think he wants to spill it before Mom even sees it?” Besides, Tanner liked it when I gave him orders. The rest of the family didn’t need to know that, though.

But I was going to have to be a bit more careful or they would think I was being inappropriately alpha with him. I hadn’t really thought about that until Simon scoffed. Maybe I should have. It was going to be an interesting afternoon.

“So why hasSimon been pestering me about my work schedule?” Graham finally sat down beside us after we’d run the gauntlet of relatives and food. We were now piled up with more food than even I could eat, and Tanner had been hugged by every relative I had.

“Because he needs a hobby?” Tanner elbowed me, but Graham just laughed.

“Besides that?”

Since Tanner just gave me anaren’t you going to handlethis look, I kept going. “Tanner has a project he’s working on, but we’re having a hard time finding the right company to do the renovations.”

Graham nodded but took a few seconds before he responded. “There are a lot of well-known renovation companies in the area. Why haven’t those worked?”

Cutting right to the point.

Tanner took this one. He sighed and shrugged. “I spoke with one company who had…let’s say less than pleasant things to say about one of my business partners on this venture. It’s a project with several friends, Austin Johnson being one of the primary financial partners.”

Graham chuckled. “Enough said, I know who that would have been.”

Tanner started to smile. “He’s a wonderful businessman, but a bit unconventional, and that rubs some people the wrong way. I’m also a very private person and the construction industry is, well…”

Graham broke in. “Full of gossips.”

I grinned. “And that’s not what he’s looking for.”

Graham nodded. “Yeah, I can see that.”

He turned to Tanner. “Even if it’s not associated with the shipping side of things, just having your name on it means the companies you work with will have to be careful. And with partners like Austin Johnson, you’ll be under more scrutiny.”

He had no idea.
