“So they all saw me? Like saw me all…you know…and bouncy…and…Oh dear.” Wyatt sounded like he’d rather hide under the bed than come to eat with them.

“You will go, Sweet. There will be no emergency antique problem or anything else you might come up with. We just have to figure out dessert and show up at one on Saturday. Then we can head back to your house. Because if my memory is right, we have plans for that evening, don’t we.” Time to distract his boy.

“Yes.” His voice came out sexy and needy.

“What are we going to do? I want you to tell me in detail while I relax, sweet sub.”

There was a shocked gasp. “Master!”

“Oh yes,graphicdetail, boy.”

Looked like his evening was going to end on a high note.

CHAPTER 10

Wyatt

“Are you sure you don’t need more help today?” There was an edge of panic in Wyatt’s voice but he was trying to hide it. “I don’t want to leave you in the lurch.”

Carter gave him this look like he wasn’t going to fall for that line of shit. “It’s Wednesday evening. Try again. There’s nobody here. Even I never stay late on Wednesdays.”

Wyatt sighed and tried to look as pathetic as possible so Carter would feel sorry and help him. His friend snorted and shook his head. “I’m not going to save you from thebig bad masterwho’s making you do something terrible.”

“I don’t want to go.”

“Why? You’ve been to his office tons. Like more than anyone else he deals with.” Carter laughed and leaned over on the counter propping his head in his hands. “What makes this time different?”

It should have been obvious, but Wyatt was willing to explain it anyway. “Because now theyknow. I don’tknowhow much they do—but they do!”

“Darlin’…” Carter said in a sickeningly sweet fake Southern accent. “You need to calm down. Because that didn’t make as much sense as you thought it did. Now, more than likely, they already thought you were kinda odd.Now it just makes sense. You’re going to be calmer because you won’t have to hide who you are. They’re going to love you.”

“You think?”

“Of course. They were nice to you before, right? Even when you were jumpy and shyly stalking their boss?”

“I wasn’t stalking him!”

“Potato…Patato…The important thing is that they liked you enough not to make you feel weird. What makes you think this will change anything? From what you said, everyone in the family is on the moreuniqueside of the spectrum. What makes you think the employees and everyone else are going to be that normal?Like attracts like…you’re going to fit right in.” Carter nodded like the discussion was over. He was right, and that was all there was to it.

“How am I supposed to act? I’m not going in there to pay my bill. I mean, I’ve got the regular part…I walk in, say hi, ask for…Who do I ask for?” Wyatt tried to take a deep breath. It didn’t seem to help. “Do I ask for Garrett or for Master or Sir?”

“What did he say?” Carter seemed to think this part was obvious too.

“We didn’t talk about the office. We talked about the barbecue and being around his family.” This discussion wasn’t making Wyatt feel any better. It was, however, killing time, so he didn’t have to go.

Carter sighed again. “What did he say aboutthatthen?”

“Well…Garrett said it was up to me how to act and what to call him.”

“What do you mean?” Carter looked like he wasn’t quite getting what Wyatt was trying to say.

“If I want to call him Garrett, Sir, or Master…and if I want to kneel or use a chair. That kind of stuff.”

“Wow. I know you were saying how open his family was but I wasn’t expecting that.”

“Me neither. I don’t know what I want to do.”

“What have you always wanted to do before?” They both knew the answer to this already, but it looked like Carter was trying to humor him. “What would have made you calm down and be more comfortable with Garrett?”
