Oh my god!
I gulped as he placed his arms on either side of me, keeping me trapped in that deadly gaze of his.
"What the fuck wasthat? Youtoldher she was abet." He hissed, his eyes suddenly dark as he glared at me with what could only be described as hatred.
Fuck him and his attitude. Why should I put up with his shit? He is the fool that made a bet in the first place!
"I told you I wasn't going to lie to her, Bailey." I stuck my chin out defiantly as he raised his eyebrows with surprise. "I'm sorry she slapped you. I'm also sorry that you lost your bet. But now you can leave me alone and go back to pretending I don't exist."
"What were you talking to Chase about?" He pressed, ignoring my previous comment.
"What? Nothing." I lied.
He studied me before I ducked under his arm, moving back into the hallway without looking back.
What in the world is going on?

Bizarre
Iwalked into History to find Chase waving at me, showing me the seat beside him was vacant. I glanced around to check he was waving at me before walking over to him cautiously.
"Hey. Are you okay? I didn't think you were coming." Chase grinned at me as I sat down, frowning.
"You thought I wasn't coming to class? Since when doIcut class?"
He leaned forward and whispered seductively, "You should try it sometime...with me."
Good lord.
My cheeks flushed, and my mouth dried as I tried to think of an appropriate response.
Luckily, the teacher saved me by clearing his throat and started the lesson with a surprise quiz. I made it through by the skin of my teeth and exhaled a sigh of relief when we were instructed to open our textbooks.
"Hey, book girl." Chase hissed beside me. I looked at him questioningly as he threw a note at my head.
Come for dinner with me tonight.
Is he being serious?
He stared straight ahead as though he was concentrating—like he hadn't just asked me out.
Me.
Chasewashandsome, but he was another jock, and right now, I was beyond sick of them.Especially a certain blue-eyed boy. The bell rang shortly after, and Chase caught up with me as I tried to escape without drawing attention to myself.
"You keep running away from me; what is your deal?"
Damn these confident boys.
"Look, Chase, I'm flattered. But you haven't spoken to meoncein school, and now you want to take me out today? I just...can't."
I whipped around, ready to haul ass.
Honesty is always the best way, I suppose. But, at least he knows now.
So I was surprised when I felt his hand in mine, pulling me around to face him.
