“What is going on, Bailey?” I asked quietly.

Bailey looked around us with amusement.

“Well, I would say they are in shock at two things. One is that the infamous Bailey Fenton has been seen with a mystery girl for the third or fourth time. The second is that I seem quite serious about her.”

“It won’t last.” I shrugged, and he chuckled.

“No? Why?”

“Numerous reasons. One, you’ll get bored. Two, you’ll get distracted. Three, you’ll be sexually starved.”

He pretended to consider my words, his blue eyes twinkling as he leaned forward.

“One, I’m already sexually starved. Two, you are all I can think about. Three, you couldn’t bore me if you tried.”

I burst out laughing.

“So prove it.”

He frowned as his eyes ran over the menu, my body craving him to look at me like that again.

“You’re complicated, Miss Aurelle. Okay, how do I prove it?”

“I’ll make a deal with you. It won’t be the first time we’ve made one, but maybe you’ll be honest this time.” I teased as he leaned back in his seat, his eyes running over me slowly.

“Hmm? Sorry, I was distracted. By you.”

Heat spread over my body as the waitress came over to take our order. When she left, I took a deep breath.

“You can’t fuck around. Prove that you can be with one girl, prove you’ll still want me without sex.”

He blinked as he leaned forward, his hands on mine.

“Erm, this sounds like a piece of cake. Is the girl you?” He smiled then, and I bit my lip.

“Maybe.”

“You want to make it official? I can do that.”

What—

My blood ran cold when I heard a familiar voice.

“Bailey! Hey! Are you—” It stopped short when she reached our table, her mouth falling open.

“You’vegotto be shitting me. Are you fucking serious right now?”

“Elena, I was just thinking about you.” Bailey yawned, his eyes on hers as she gave me a death stare before turning back to him.

“Of course you were.” She gushed.

“Do you know how to update a relationship status on Facebook?” He asked, and I gaped at him.

Elena folded her arms, tilting her head to the side.

“I’m confused.”

“I wanted to update mine.” He shrugged casually, gazing at her.
