“I feel sorry for you, having to beg your bestie for sex. Haven’t you got someone you can call?”
I grabbed my backpack as I walked away, a smile playing on my lips that I could affect him the way I did.
Theo sighed, following me down the stairs, adjusting himself as he grumbled.
“Empty house, perfect situation, both horny…”
I swung open the front door, letting him pull it closed behind him. Theo unlocked his car, and I hopped in, pulling my mascara out of my bag as I coated my lashes. He got in beside me, and his scent hit me, and I lost concentration for a moment.
“I love you, but you’ve got to stop this sex shit. It’s never gonna happen,” I sighed, clipping in my seatbelt.
“It’s because you love me so much that it’s gonna happen. When it does, you’re gonna be begging me to eat your pussy morning, noon, and night.” He smirked as he started the engine.
“Gross,” I muttered as he patted my thigh, his hand resting there for a moment after.
“No, baby, you’ll fucking love it.”
“Just drive, Casanova.”

HANNAH
Iknew before Lara finished the sentence why she was inviting me. I stared at her with boredom, trying to suppress a yawn.
“So, all you’ve got to do is turn up.”
Lara’s red lips stretched into a fake smile.
“Right.”
Lara shuffled in front of me before hesitating. “Obviously, bring Theo.’
There it is.
I flipped my paper over and began doodling. Lara seemed to get the message and walked away, her heels clicking on the tiled floor. The teacher walked in and started talking as I realized Theo was late.
Again.
It didn’t seem to matter, as his grades were beyond exceptional. He wasn’t even punished for being tardy, which was maddening. I took notes, glancing up at the board repeatedly, when my phone vibrated in my pocket. Before I could check it, the classroom door flew open, and in strode Theo.
Girls sat up straighter. Body sprays filled the air, and eyelashes fluttered as he slid in the seat next to me. Hooking his arm around my waist, Theo pulled me close to him, scraping my chair along the floor.
I gritted my teeth with annoyance when I lost my place on the board and began backtracking to keep up.
“Homeostasis is the regulation of conditions in the body such as temperature, water content, and carbon dioxide levels,” Theo read over my shoulder as he yawned, rubbing his eyes. “The perfect environment, basically.”
“Great. Lara wants you to go to her party,” I whispered as I continued to scribble furiously, trying to keep up.
“Lara Wint? She throws awesome parties.” Theo mused as he watched me write.
“Pay attention to class,” I muttered.
“I don’t need to.” Theo scoffed.
“Well, some of ushaveto,” I grumbled as he rested his chin on my shoulder, wrapping his arms around my waist.
“I’ll help you study. I’m sure we can come to some sort of mutual arrangement,” Theo mumbled.
