I recognized the possessive tone and turned to face Theo.

“Stop it!” I hissed as his eyes widened innocently. “Trust worksbothways. I’m yours, Theo.”

“Say it louder.” Theo smirked, dotting kisses on my throat.

“I’m yours!” I repeated.

“You always have been.”

Theo kissed me, and I lost myself as he held me. I knew at that moment, I was the envy of every girl within a fifty-mile radius, and I gave him a smug smile when we pulled apart.

“See you at lunch,” I said, kissing him lightly on the lips.

He frowned as he tilted his head at me. “Cafeteria, yeah?”

“Mm. I thought we could go home for lunch...” I suggested as he raised his eyebrows.

“Yes, ma’am,” Theo murmured, watching me as I walked away, swinging my hips in the way that drives him crazy.

Sure enough, when I turned to blow him a kiss, he stood watching me, a dark look in his eyes.

“Don’t be late,” he called after me as I laughed.

“See you later, De Luca.”

I found my seat, a foolish smile on my face as I dragged my books out. My phone vibrated against me, and I slid it out.

MARA

Shit! I just woke up.

I snorted as I replied.

HANNAH

Home study day for you then…

My teacher strode in, and I put my phone away.

I lost myself in the history of Europe for a few hours until the bell signified the next period, which for me signaled the end of my morning, giving me an hour to kill before Theo was free.

I gathered my books as I left, deciding to go home and wait for him.

My house should be free, as everyone would be at work today. I sighed when I saw the sleek black car in the parking lot and instead dial an Uber. I missed driving it every day, but it was so much nicer sharing the driving with Theo.

I sent him a text telling him I was heading home and smiled to myself. I would stick a pizza or something on, as I’m sure we would be hungry after our midday workout. I loved the thought of having the rest of my day with Theo, and I planned the day.

The Uber arrived, and sometime later, I jogged to my front door, surprised to find it unlocked. I frowned, clocking Ryan’s car in the drive.

Ryan’s home?

Great, I thought.

Not quite the fuck-fest I was expecting. I loved having the house to ourselves, and it made me wish we lived together. The freedom to do whatever you want, whenever you want, appealed massively to me.

I shut the door behind me as I halted. My eyes fell on the white pumps by the sofa that belonged to no other than Mara. My heart raced as I chewed on my lip with excitement.

Ryan’s off work.
