I stared at him, stunned. Personal Assistants were never paid that much, let alone unqualified ones.

“You also get a car to drive you to and from any location, at any time. All medical and dental needs are covered too. Do you need to know anything else?”

I tried to speak, but my mouth just opened and closed silently as he nodded.

“If I am to be your boss, you need to dress a certain way. I can’t be distracted.”

I glanced down at my plain black pencil skirt and white shirt in alarm.

What did he mean?

“This is a perfectly normal office outfit-” I began before he cut me off, standing up and walking to the front of the desk.

“On anyone else, yes. On you? No.”

I blushed under his gaze as I shrugged.

“What do you want me to wear?” I asked curiously as a smirk came across his face.

“There are many slimy bastards who work here, Alice. I’d prefer it if you wore a bin bag if I’m honest. But just make sure it’s nothing too tight, too revealing, or too tempting.”

“For who?” I asked, daring to meet his eyes.

“For me,” he answered, and suddenly I remembered how his lips felt on mine, the way he made me feel when he told me if I was fucking him, I wasn’t to fuck anyone else.

“Fine. But I can’t guarantee you won’t have a hard cock under that desk for most of the day.”

His eyebrows shot up as I stood, adjusting my skirt.

“Where do you want me?” I purred, glancing around as he shook his head in disbelief.

“Your office is opposite mine. I take my coffee black every three hours. Take messages for my calls today as I am in meetings. In the meantime, there is some paperwork on your desk. I take it you can type?” He raised an eyebrow in amusement as I smiled sweetly.

“No, but how hard can it be?”

“Jesus,” he muttered as he cast his eyes skywards. “I really do need a good PA, Alice. I’ll get you on a course to get you up to scratch. Do you need anything else?”

“Nothing for my working day, no.”

I couldn’t help but flirt with him; he was simplydelectable. He strode over to me as he spoke, his masculine aroma tantalizing my senses.

“Don’t play with me, Alice. I’m asking nicely.”

I adjusted his tie as I smiled.

“Ok, Lucas.”

He growled at me as he turned away, shaking his suit jacket off and tossing it over the back of his chair.

“My next meeting is at ten-thirty. When they arrive, bring them in and ask what drinks everyone wants. Then just await further instruction.”

Lucas sat down as I turned on my heel in disbelief that I had landed such an insane job package.

Seventy grand a year? Seriously?

I walked into my office, which had windows overlooking the parking lot, but I didn’t mind. It was mine! There was a shiny new laptop on the table, a sticky note attached with log-on details. I fired it up as I noticed a box with a ribbon beside it.

I glanced up; my office being directly opposite his meant I could partially see his desk. Lucas was on the phone again. I slid the lid off the box, raising my eyebrows when I saw it was a brand new mobile phone. It was the top of the range, too, I noticed. I turned it over, marveling at the sleekness.
