“Only with this.”
He thrust into me as I let out a loud gasp, causing him to cover my mouth.
“I’ve made love to you, Summer.Thisis fucking. I hope you like it.”
I could barely breathe when he pounded into me, our skin making a slapping sound as our bodies collided. He pulled my hair harder, his fingers digging in my hips as he picked up speed.
“Don’t stop, don’t stop...” I begged as he pushed me down into the bed, whispering in my ear.
“Don’t stop, what? Have you forgotten my name?”
He bit my shoulder as I found my voice, despite the ecstasy coursing through my veins.
“Don’t stop, Gabe. Don’t stop!” I moaned as he obliged, fucking me until I let out a loud moan, my body shaking as I grabbed fistfuls of the sheets beneath me, my breath coming out in choked gasps. He continued to thrust until he came, letting out a series of grunts. Kissing my shoulder, he pulled out of me before coming to lie beside me.
“Gabe,” he smirked as I caught my breath, staring at him in disbelief.
“Well yeah, that’s your name,” I teased as he kissed me, handing me my underwear and clothes.
“Mmm. It sounds different when you say it mid-fuck. I need to check dinner, and I’ll be right back.”
I quickly pulled on my clothes before standing up and walking to the mirror in his room. I put my hair into a knot on the top of my head in an attempt to make myself look as presentable as possible, my eyes falling on his phone, which had lit up.
It was an email from a college, titled ‘Admissions.’
I swallowed as I stared at it, knowing this was something we needed to discuss. I knew he’d get a scholarship for sports—he was so talented. It made complete sense. But I wanted to stay in this town but also knew I couldn’t be without him. The light on the phone faded away, and I pushed it to the back of my mind.
Food first, then serious conversations. After Netflix, maybe. Oh, and sleep.
It could wait.
CHAPTER 28
CALEB
“Kids, we need to have a conversation,” declared Dad as four pairs of eyes flickered to him with curiosity. He grinned at Zane and Alice, waving his hands at them dismissively. “My big kids. You guys are safe. For a few years anyway.”
I forked more steak into my mouth, groaning in delight. Mom had demanded a family dinner, complete with steak and cheesecake-my favorite. Now I get to find out why.
“So. We need to talk about your plans for post-high school.”
I leaned my head back, sighing as I reached for my drink. “Well, I’d quite like to win the lottery and never open another textbook again.”
“Aspirational.” Dad shrugged as Mom shot me a deadly look.
“Caleb. You have to either go to college or get a full-time job. You won’t be qualified for much, so I’d say flipping burgers would be your base start.”
Is she taking the piss?
“Um,no. I’ll study,” I said, flashing her a smile.
“Ok, so what are you going to study?” Mom asked as Dad gave me a helpless look.
“I was thinking of law.”
There was a stunned silence as Dad fixed me with his green gaze.
“As in, you wanna be a lawyer, kid?”
