I continued lifting my weights as I counted my reps.

Four. Five. Six...

“Not interested?” He pressed as I glanced at him in the mirror.

Seven. Eight. Nine...

“No,” I huffed.

He raised his eyebrows at me as I switched arms. “So why the goo-goo eyes whenever she looks at you?”

I refused to rise instead of focusing on my workout.

“If you like her, Caleb—”

“Idon’t,” I denied through gritted teeth as he raised his hands in surrender.

“Okay. Just saying. If you do—”

“Which Idon’t.”

“Right. Then you need to tell her. A girl like that won’t be single for long. If I was twenty-five years younger—”

I made a face at him as Mom appeared, folding her arms behind him. “Finish that sentence if you fuckingdare, Cal.”

“Baby!” He winced as I smirked at him.

Mom would rip his balls off now.

“Yeah, so what would you do?” Mom glared at him as he walked towards her with his hands open.

“I’d choose you all over again.”

Smooth bastard.

“Yes, you would,” she huffed as he slid his arms around her.

“Come on, Raven, it’salwaysbeen you,” he cooed.

They kissed, and I coughed loudly. “Please fuck off. Not all of us are happily in love.”

“You could be. If you told her.” Dad smirked as Mom looked at me in confusion.

“Who? Tell me!” she demanded, and I glowered at Dad.

“This douche thinks I’m in love with Jade,” I scoffed as he made kissing noises. “You’re such a fucking child.”

“Says you.”

CHAPTER 25

“Don’t get into any trouble. Look after your sister.”

I tried to avoid yawning as Gabe smirked at me. “Why am I still getting the big brother talk when blondie here looks after her now?” I protested as Mom shot me a look.

“Caleb!”
