“Wait until they find out I’m with all of you.” Okay, that was not meant to be said out loud.
“You’re fucking what?” Xavier looks disgusted and Mum looks like she’s on the verge of a breakdown.
“Don’t talk to her like that.” Landon puts his body in front of mine.
Well, this has escalated quickly.
“Son, you can’t sleep with your sister.”
“Stepsister.”
“Whatever, you’re sleeping with her?”
“Dating her.” Landon corrects.
“With your friends?”
“Yes.”
“And she’s moving in with you?”
“Yes.”
“Okay, well, this is a lot of information to process.” He steps back, running his hand through his hair. Sighing dramatically, or maybe the right amount of sigh.
“You are a disgusting slut.”
I take a step back as if she physically slapped me.
“Claire!” Xavier looks dumbfounded.
“You can’t be okay with this, Xavier!”
“I’m not, it’s a lot to take in but you can’t call your daughter a slut.”
“Well, she is. She’s a whore.” Her eyes run over my body and her expression is full of pure disgust.
“That’s enough. Get the fuck out.” She stares at Landon in surprised shock “Now Claire!”
“Come on.” Xavier pulls her away.
Landon’s hands fall to my shoulders. “Letty?”
“I need to get out of here.” I can’t look at him, my eyes have misted with unshed tears, and I don’t want him to see.
“I know.” He ushers me out. Tucking me under his arm, as if to protect me.

Ican see her shutting down, I can see the effect Claire’s words had on her. Fucking bitch.
She thinks we’re going to the guy's house, but I’m taking her to the lookout. When I turn right instead of left, she breaks the silence.
“Where are we going?”
