Her eyes glisten, clutching the pendant reverently. “What if I lose it?”

“Then I’ll buy you another.”

“You’re going to lose your fortune.”

“Worth it.” Lowering my hand, I uncurl her fingers and tug them away. “Now, let me see how breathtaking you look in my diamond.”

The sparkling jewel sits between the valley of her tits, complementing her sun-kissed skin. As enchanting as her.

“It was made for you,” I praise.

“Thank you, love.” Running a finger over it, she stares, and promises, “I’m going to cherish it and never lose it.”

“Always wear it.”

Stepping up to me, she nods. “I will.”

Scooping her up, I turn in the direction of the staircase to go upstairs.

“My clothes,” she points out.

“I’ll get them later.”

Pink darkens her cheeks as she asks in a small voice, “Am I really not allowed to wear clothes?”

“No. You’re my favorite view in the world.”

“What about you? Are you going to be naked too?”

“Only in the bedroom.”

She pouts. “So unfair.”

“You’ll forget all about it when I’m making you come over and over.”

“This may be the best vacation ever!”

She hasn’t seen anything yet.

Chapter Nineteen

Iris

My head feels heavy, like I’ve been asleep for days, when I force my eyes open. Blinking, I look around at my new surroundings in the semi-darkness. The curtains are drawn, but a little bit of sunlight peeks into the high-ceiling room. The scent of earth and wood is heavy in the air, reminding me I’m far away from home.

Like downstairs, there’s a fireplace here too. Above it, there is a faux deer head mounted. A scenic painting of the mountains completes the decor.

The entire property is a nature lover’s dream. Perfect for couples who want to live cocooned in their own world with nothing around for miles. My favorite part is having our private lake to swim in.

Who knew Kian could pick such a heavenly place?

Instead of enjoying it and making memories, I’m wasting our time here sleeping. I haven’t even explored this floor except for a glimpse of the hallway.

The second Kian had laid me on the comfy canopy bed and my head hit the pillow, jet lag kicked in and I was out again. I have no clue if he joined me or not.

As I turn over and glance at the other side of the bed and notice the unruffled pillow, I get my answer. I lean up on my elbows, causing the soft, warm blanket to drop to my waist, making me aware of my nakedness.

A heavy and new weight against my chest startles me.
