I unlocked the cottage's front door. "Today was a good day."

Saylor smiled. "I think so too."

As fun as today was, I was excited to have her to myself for the evening. "You want to jump in the pool?"

"I'd love to cool off."

I grabbed wine while Saylor ducked into her room to change into her swimsuit. Then I went upstairs to change into my trunks. By the time I made it downstairs, Saylor was already in the pool, slicing through the water. She grabbed onto the side in the deep end, and I squatted in front of her. "You want wine?"

She wiped her hair back from her face. "Sure."

I moved to sit next to her so that my feet were in the water. Then I poured two glasses of wine. Saylor hauled herself out, the water falling off her, and sat next to me.

I raised my glass and clinked it against hers. "To a never-ending summer."

Saylor smiled. "To a never-ending summer."

After the sip, I set the glass down and jumped into the pool. "Come in."

With a smile, she dropped into the water.

"You want to race?" I asked her, feeling like a kid again.

She arched a brow, a hint of a challenge in her eyes. "One length of the pool?"

"Sure." I moved to the side so that we were starting off at the same point.

"Ready, set, go," Saylor cried as we both pushed off the wall at the same time. Other than playing around with Hayden the other night, I hadn't raced anyone in a long time. It was something I did with my brothers often when we were younger. Mom would make us take a break because there were fights over who was the fastest and who'd cheated.

I concentrated on my form, making sure I was slicing through the water with minimal effort, occasionally turning my head to take a quick breath. I was aware that Saylor was slightly behind me, so I kicked it into high gear and took off for the last few feet.

My hand hit the side of the pool first, and then she came in a stroke behind me. "I won."

One side of her lips curved up. "You have the advantage. You're taller."

"Are you saying it wasn't a fair competition?" I asked her, moving closer to where she stood.

Water clung to her eyelashes and hair, her skin pink from her exertions. She'd never looked more beautiful. "That's right."

With a growl, I lifted her so that she sat on the edge of the pool. I hauled myself out of the water, and then reached down to lift her, carrying her the few feet to the hot tub.

"Are you scared to race me again?" Saylor asked.

"Not at all. I had a different sort of competition in mind." I smirked. "How fast can you orgasm?"

A slow smile spread over her face. "I like the sound of that."

I moved closer to where she sat at the edge of the hot tub, nudging her legs apart, while my fingers slid under the elastic of her suit. I could easily unravel the tie at her hip, but I liked working around the material better. It heightened the sensations.

Her breath hitched as my fingers moved between her folds and slipped through her wetness. Her head fell back slightly so she could see my face. "This doesn't seem like a fair competition."

"Because it's not." I wanted to see her let go. I wanted to be the man who made it happen. After this summer, she wouldn't remember her ex and wouldn't be able to forget me. I eased the triangle top away from her breast, letting her nipple spring free.

I sucked the pebbled tip into my mouth, enjoying the way she rode my fingers, her thighs clenching around me. I wanted more, so much more.
