Heat flooded my veins. My stomach quivered, growing taut. Beast’s hand went between my legs. He slapped the top of my mound and teased my clit, making my legs jerk.
“Good girls deserve a reward then.” Another moan left my mouth as he pushed two fingers inside me and fucked me roughly.
Desire rushed through my body. I rolled my hips into his touch.
One of his hands went to my neck and he squeezed, making me gasp.
“Beast,” I whimpered.
He squeezed tighter and curled his large fingers forward inside me. My body felt alive, like a dead car brought back to life with jumper cables.
The panic that shot through me as breathing became harder caused me to grow wetter. My heart pounded. Pulse raced.
I attempted to speak but it was too overwhelming. Soon my body shook and I came as white spots formed behind my eyelids.
He snatched his hands out of me and released my neck. I drew in large chunks of air. I was surprised when Beast got between my legs and pushed into me. His length stretched my walls painfully good.
He fucked me like a man on a mission—hard, determined, and quick.
I gripped the comforter tightly and arched my back.
“I have a surprise for you,” he said in a strained voice.
Still trying to ease my racing heart, I struggled to form words. I was surprised when the blindfold I had grown used to was snatched off my eyes. My eyes fluttered, adjusting to the sudden light.
“Look at me,” Beast demanded.
As my eyes focused, my mouth dropped. My stomach quivered as my walls tightened and my body shivered.
My eyes snapped open and I shot up. Instantly, I grabbed my chest, taking deep breaths to ease my racing heart, looking around my bedroom. It was still dark. The house was silent.
“Fuck,” I whispered, closing my eyes and dropping my head. Being in this house was starting to get to me. I needed to experience something outside of these four walls or I was gonna drive myself crazy. While I had often dreamed about Beast and my time with him, tonight was the first time I had pictured Kairus as the man who had taken my body to euphoria so many times.
There was a knock on my door and I stared at it curiously. “What now,” I groaned. For the past couple of days, I’d been summoned downstairs to eat breakfast and dinner with Kairus. Even though there was little, small talk he never took no for an answer. I wouldn’t admit it to him, but I began to look forward to these meals. I felt invisible in this house and sitting down and eating with him, no matter how silent the meals were, it felt good to finally be shown some attention. Having my phone helped some, but it wasn’t enough. I missed basic human interaction.
Pushing off my bed, I yanked the door open and was caught off guard seeing a large man on the other side.
I cocked my head to the side. “Can I help you?”
“Mr. Navarro has given me instructions to take you to your parents’ house. I’ll be downstairs waiting for you.” He turned and headed for the steps without waiting for me to respond. I stared at him, surprised by his statement. I’d been here for over a month and besides the gala Kairus had yet to allow me to leave the house. Part of me wondered if it was a trick. I nibbled on my bottom lip, but in the end decided to go with it. I didn’t care if it was a test and I failed. All I knew was I would be able to see my mom and finally leave these walls.
“Now tell me about this new job, Azeira. Your dad tells me you’re a personal assistant.”
I blinked a couple of times, opening and closing my mouth with furrowed brows. I had never been able to lie to my mom without her knowing I wasn’t telling the truth, hopefully now wasn’t one of those times.
“Uh, yeah. I handle all his day-to-day affairs and what not.” I shrugged.
I was happy seeing my mom. Since she wasn’t in chemo anymore, she looked a lot less fatigued since the last time I saw her. Her surgery was due to happen this weekend and she had to do a couple more weeks of chemo. After that she should be cancer-free.
“And what about school? If you’re always working, when do you have time for that?”
“I took the semester off. My financial aid wasn’t covering everything so the money I get from work I’m saving so I can pay it in full next semester.” I thought the lie sounded believable and it was somewhat the truth. I did have to come out of pocket a little for school, but I got a lot of grants and scholarships that covered the majority of it.
She squinted at me. I could tell she was trying to read the lie in my words.
“Do you like the flowers I got you? My employer has a garden and I knew you would love the roses.”
Before leaving, I snuck out to the garden and cut a couple of flowers to bring to my mom. I knew she missed gardening and I hoped this would brighten her spirits.
