Honestly, Corby was stronger today, and that was why he wanted to get it over with.

The bottom line was that Corbin Price knew he couldn’t hide any longer.

So, he did what he needed to do to heal.

He saw a therapist.

That morning, he made up his mind, and after days of hiding at Gene and Ethan’s place, he manned up and made a call to start the healing process. Corbin wanted his life back, and in order to do that, he had to take that first step.

Going into his appointment, Will waited outside for him, and he was grateful to have that kind of support.

It had been brutal.

But Corbin was working toward those wedding rings. They were on the dresser in the guest room, a reminder of what he had to fight for now.

Reliving what had been done to him was difficult, and knowing that this was always going to be a part of him until the day he died was a tough pill to swallow.

But he could take it.

He had to.

If he survived this, he’d be back on track. Now, he only had to hope he’d pull it off.

There had been tears.

Anger.

Misery.

And hope.

And when he walked out of the therapist’s office, he found Will waiting by the car.

And he wasn’t alone.

In their work suits, wrapping up their week of work before vacation, the two men who he couldn’t imagine not having in his life were also there.

As he approached, he was curious.

“Uh, where’s the party?” he asked. “Are you all here for me?”

Will took his hand and squeezed it.

“I hope you don’t mind, but I called them. I wanted to make sure your support system was in place in case you needed all of us.”

That was sweet.

“How bad was it?” Gene asked.

Corbin laughed sardonically.

“It’s like taking a wound that has a scab, and ripping it off so it bleeds all over again. Only, I’ve survived worse, and I’m going to be okay. I have to be okay. I have family to love, and a life I want back.”

That was the best thing they’d heard in almost two weeks. Since he was healing, and doing a damn good job of it, Gene wanted to reward him.

“You got this, Crotch Gobin,” Gene said.
