“I only do it because I know how much we both enjoy it.”

Tiri wriggled on the bed and pushed Zane’s hand away. “It’s not nice to tease me.”

“Hey, I was on board with having you in the shower.”

“Then you shouldn’t have made love to me so vigorously beforehand in our bed. I still can hardly feel my toes.”

Zane chuckled and leaned down to kiss Tiri’s soft mouth. “You have my most sincere apology.”

There was still annoyance in Tiri’s gaze as he sat up. The covers slipped down to his waist and although all that beautiful skin made Zane’s belly flop in arousal, he stood and went over to his bureau to get dressed.

“The day has hardly begun, and it’s already ruined,” Tiri complained.

“How does having great sex ruin our day?”

“Because I’m greedy and want more.”

“Are we going to circle around the whole ‘you should’ve gotten and up and showered with me thing’ again?”

Tiri’s bottom lip poked out for a moment; then he shoved the covers off, revealing his naked body. Zane would have to be dead not to appreciate the view of his mate, and it took all his substantial willpower not to cross the room to grab the half-hard cock nestled in his white curls.

“Damn, you have the best body.”

Tiri’s look was coy. “You’re welcome to it.”

The invitation was tempting, but they had a meeting to get to, and Zane couldn’t turn off responsibility. But he promised himself he was going to put his mouth on every inch of that pale skin as soon as they could be alone again. “There’s nothing on the schedule for tonight. After dinner, we can go relax on that giant pile of pillows in the other room and see if we can’t amuse ourselves somehow.”

The sprite he loved grinned brightly. “All evening to kiss and cuddle?”

“You don’t get to wear clothes, though.”

“Neither do you.”

“That seems fair to me.”

Tiri ran over and was only seconds away from wrapping his arms around Zane when he stopped him by bracketing his biceps. All Zane had managed to get on was his underwear. There was no way it was safe for them to touch. “Nope, go shower.”

“All I wanted was a hug.”

“You can have one,” Zane replied. “Just as soon as you’re dressed.”

The sprite narrowed his eyes and stepped back, forcing Zane to let go; then he put his hands on his bare hips. “I’m only agreeing to this because you’ve promised to spend our evening together.”

“Without clothes. Don’t forget that part.”

“Truly Zane, how could I?” Tiri asked incredulously. He marched toward the bathroom and Zane enjoyed the view of his taut backside as he moved. “It’s as if the dragon has never seen himself naked. How he thinks I could forget that it will all be laid out for a feast to me tonight, I simply don’t know.”

Zane laughed at Tiri’s muttering as he grabbed a pair of jeans and tugged them on. “I love you, Tiridythas.”

“Then he’s going to tell me what’s in his heart after he makes love to me so I’m boneless…refuses to wait for me to sufficiently recover so he may repeat the act in the shower…truly I do not know what Fate expects of me,” Tiri murmured.

“Say it back, sprite.”

Tiri turned sharply so their gazes locked. The devotion in those teal eyes was impossible to miss and just like that, Zane fell a bit harder for him. “I do love you, Zane. More than I believed anyone could care for another.”

“You have my heart,” Zane told him solemnly. “But you really do need to put some clothes on, or I’m going to get fired because I have to fuck you.” It was overstating the case, but he needed Tiri in a patchwork tunic and pants quickly.

The sprite whipped around, dashed into the bathroom, and slammed the door behind him. Zane shook his head at the man he adored. He was grateful that it was Saturday and he could dress casually. He tugged on a T-shirt but like Tiri, he would’ve preferred a later start to his morning. Still, their meeting was an important one, and since it was taking place at their home, Zane didn’t have to worry about security. They had to be there because the Lich Sentinel wished to speak with Tiri and Ellery. Zane wasn’t about to let his other half be late for his own appointment.
