“What?”

Lily sat up with a bounce that almost sent the laptop tumbling off the end of the bed. “Look here,” she said pointing to the screen. “I don’t know about this earlier one, I didn’t always attend each week, but I clearly remember Jordan Duncan shared her story the night Kevin Duncan was killed and Gwen Barclay shared this last week, and then her husband was nearly beaten to death – would have been killed if someone hadn’t been there.”

Christian grinned, cupped her face, and delivered a hard kiss that ended with a loud smacking sound. “You, my gorgeous cat, are a genius.”

Blushing at the praise, Lily leapt up from the bed. “I have to find a phone and call the detective to let her know.”

Christian snagged her hand before she was fully off the bed. “Whoa. Wait a second. You can’t call this in.”

“Why not? The sooner I do, the sooner they’ll stop looking at me and go after the real killer.”

“How are you going to explain where you got this information?”

Crestfallen, Lily sat down hard and blew out a frustrated breath. “Then what do we do? I’d rather not have them digging into my past and finding out I’m not who I’m claiming to be, or worse, end up arrested for murder and spend the rest of my life in prison.”

Christian squeezed her hand, “I’m not going to let that happen.”

“How?”

Christian shrugged, but he had a distinct twinkle of excitement in his eyes as he suggested, “We set a trap.”
