The way her body quivered around my cock had me jumping over the edge with her. I held her tight and kissed her until we were both breathless, as I emptied myself inside her.
I slowed to a stop.
We were both breathing heavily, and I leaned into her until I could regain my strength.
“So, what do you say? Will you stay at my place tonight?” I asked softly against her lips
Her green eyes opened and locked on mine. They were sparkling, just like the ocean does when the sun hits it. She gave me a crooked smile and nodded. “I’ll stay the night with you.”
I couldn’t keep the grin off my face.
The day seemedto drag on, but getting a little taste of her helped to keep my head on the task at hand. Any free time I had, I was trying to plan our evening. I wanted to go all in. I wanted to show her what it would be like if we were a real couple. If I made her fall in love with me, there’s no way she’d walk away once her brother gave her the ultimatum—and I knew he would when he found out. I pushed thoughts of him away and went back to planning a nice evening in.
It wasn’t about revenge now. I genuinely gave a damn. I wanted her. I wanted to keep her. It would drive me insane and fucking break me if I lost her.
Fuck me, it was the truth I hated to admit.
Since I was her professor, it wasn’t like I could plan some big date night on the town. We had to stay hidden. I sure as shit didn’t want to cook, and I didn’t want to order a pizza or anything either, so I called around until I found a chef for hire. Once my day was done, I made the drive home to prepare everything.
I found the right bottle of wine and ordered some roses. I dug out all the candles I had and started to put things together. I felt stupid as fuck. I hadn’t ever been the sweet and romantic type, not even back before I had my heart stomped on, but something had to give if I wanted things to work out to my advantage.
I sent a car to pick her up while I finished getting things ready. The driver kept me updated on his estimated time of arrival, so when she stepped up to my door, I was able to pull it open and greet her.
My eyes swept over her perfect body, taking note of the red dress she was wearing. It hugged her breasts and tiny waist, but it flared out around her hips, ending just below the knee. It wasn’t what I’d typically call a sexy dress, but on her, it was. She paired the dress with a pair of ankle boots that had a heel, giving her calves a nice shape. I looked at them for two seconds and was already thinking about having those legs wrapped around my hips for the night.
Over her shoulder was her backpack. I took the bag from her as I showed her into my apartment.
“Are you moving in?” I asked, placing the bag on the floor next to the entryway table.
Her cheeks flushed red, and she shrugged. “You said you wanted me to be with you all night long. I-I didn’t know if that meant I needed to stay overnight or not.” She shook her head. “If not, no harm done. I’ll go home after.”
She was cute when she was nervous.
I placed my hand on the small of her back and pulled her chest to mine.
“Of course I want you to stay the night,” I told her as I leaned in for a kiss. I swept my tongue through her mouth slowly, saving the taste of her, but I knew I needed to pull away before I got lost in her. I stepped back, sliding my hand over to hers. “Let me give you a tour.”
She visibly relaxed and gave me a smile, her eyes widening with excitement.
“I live alone, so the place isn’t too big. I don’t expect you to get lost or anything.”
She laughed, and that made me feel a little better. I couldn’t believe how nervous I was. I was never fucking nervous.
“This is the living room,” I said, motioning around the large room we were standing in. I pointed at the door by the entrance. “That’s a coat closet.” I pointed at the door on the other end of the room. “That’s the bathroom. Please don’t get them confused.”
She laughed and rolled her eyes.
I had no idea I spouted off lame jokes when nervous, but I found it embarrassing, and I wished I’d stop. But hearing her laugh made it easier to let the words fall from my lips.
“The kitchen,” I said, motioning toward the open floor plan. “The dining area.” I pointed to the table near a massive window that overlooked the city. “Candles and flowers because I thought you might like them,” I finished lamely.
“Oh, I do. I love it,” she said as she stepped up to the table, looking down at the flowers and candles, a smile on her face.
I breathed out, relaxing a little more.
“I wanted everything to be perfect.” I used the backs of my knuckles to sweep her hair away from her cheek. “I know I made a mess of things, but that doesn’t prove my intentions.”
Her brows lifted. “Intentions? And what exactly are your intentions, Professor West?” She stepped into me and tipped her head back as her eyes locked on mine. I was significantly taller, so she was always looking up at me.
