“I came to you out of respect, Don Amano. Your daughter tried to get my brother arrested so you could move in on our territory—”
“I did not sanction that. I would never try to move in on your territory,” Don Amano interrupts my brother.
Roman holds up his hand, “I know you didn’t, that’s why you and your family are still breathing. Your daughter conspired against the Dalonzo organization. She shot one of us, we will not let that go.”
“My daughter is ambitious and stupid. She’s a stupid girl who did a stupid thing…”
“I am not stupid! You never listen to me!” Alicianna screamed, interrupting her father.
“Alicianna, please be quiet, I am trying to save your life,” Don Amano pleaded with his daughter.
“There will be no saving her. It has been agreed upon by the council. She will be punished for her crimes against my family. Luca, take her.”
“No, please. Not him, anybody but that psycho.” Alicianna’s eyes grow wide.
When she holds onto her father for dear life and the alligator tears start, I smile. Nobody will be able to save the conniving bitch. Alicianna is a power-hungry predator. Her problem is that she can’t see she’s not the only shark in the water.
I pry her hands from her father as Don Amano stands stoically by. There’s nothing he can do in the moment, but we will have to keep a close eye on him because he’s going to seek revenge eventually. He is losing a lot of power by handing over his only child, but he should’ve kept an eye on her instead of indulging her every whim.
“Don’t fucking touch me,” Alicianna hisses as her tears miraculously disappear.
I don’t try to grab her again as she saunters out of the room with her head held high. I know she thinks she’s somehow going to get out of this, but she has a surprise waiting. As soon as Alicianna steps out the door, the loud bang of a gunshot is heard.
The headshot jolts her body before Alicianna falls lifelessly to the floor. Her father’s shocked eyes glass over with tears before he nods to his men to get Alicianna’s body. Jules casually steps over her as he walks into the room, still holding the gun. It was only right that he was the one who killed the woman who tried to kill him.
“The debt has been paid in blood. Our families are even now.” Don Amano looks at Roman, who quirks an eyebrow before nodding.
It doesn’t take long for the Amano family to leave and for the blood to be cleaned up. It gives me plenty of time to finish what I started months ago. I nod to my brother as I head to my special workspace.
I’ve kept the pathetic duo alive long enough. It was time to finish what I started. I have had my revenge, and the silent killer is satisfied. I walk into the room to the sounds of whimpering. The sound of their distress quenches something deep inside of me.
My phone chimes with a message from Niro giving me some great news that I can’t wait to share. I quickly type out a response before sliding the device back into my pocket. I take my time getting ready before slowly walking over to my knives.
“Please, I can’t take anymore. I promise I’ll disappear. I won’t go back to the police force,” the former Detective Wiley pleads.
I ignore her because she knows as well as I do that she’s wasting her breath. She wanted to find out what happened to Matthew Besser, so I’m showing her firsthand. She should’ve just minded her business instead of trying to make a name for herself.
“I wanted to let the two of you know that Ms. Gates was found dead by her cellmate this morning. Oh, and Ms. Amano also met her maker today. I guess you all can have a little meeting in hell once I send you there.”
“Dalonzo, fuck man. I said I would stay away from Min—.”
“Don’t say her fucking name, you cockroach! You don’t deserve to breathe the same air as her!” I cut Ross off before his pathetic whimpering can enrage me any further.
This motherfucker has pissed me off for the last time. I have kept him in my workroom for months. Torturing him has been… therapeutic. The things I’ve done to him, hell, to both of them, could cause a surgeon to become queasy.
I walk over to Ross, looking him over. His eyes are swollen almost completely shut. Almost all of his fingers are missing, and there are bruises and burns all over his broken body. He’s lucky that I haven’t done worse for the things he did to Mindy. I could make this easier by just shooting them in the head like Jules did Alicianna, but that doesn’t sit right with me.
I make an incision on Ross’s thigh, slicing into an artery. He will bleed out slowly, feeling all the pain that I’ve inflicted on him. It’s what he deserves.
When I make my way to Lisa Wiley, I can see the regret in her eyes. I’m glad she’s finally able to recognize that she should’ve left well enough alone. But she’s like most people, she wanted money and power. The problem is that she thought she could use me to get it.
“I killed Matthew Besser. He was a cheater, abuser, and a thief. He deserved what he got, but you knew that already because you were sleeping with him.” I shake my head.
“I’ll never say a word,” Lisa whimpers, but the begging is loud in her tone.
“I know,” I whisper back sinisterly before slitting her throat.
After meticulously cleaning up my mess, I feel a lot lighter. I managed to take out my revenge and make the world a safer place for my woman. Although she’ll never know that I got rid of Ross, she will know to trust me when I say he will never bother her again. I can finally relax and go to my woman.
