The setting sun paints everything around us golden as we leisurely ride our bikes along a country road to Little Miss Sunflower, the sunflower farm that the little town we stopped in for the night is well-known for. The moment I spot the first flowers swaying in the evening breeze, I feel a broad smile forming on my lips.
“Spade, look at that!” I shout over my shoulder to him, as he has been behind me the entire way. “Look at those beautiful flowers!”
