Neither of us bothered with the bags that were in the trunk. We scurried to the door where we stood until Lyric unlocked it. The cold, crisp air from inside welcomed us with open arms.

My extroverted battery had died the moment we’d left the lounge, but I hadn’t had the proper amount of sleep to recharge it. That was all about to change. The minute my head hit the pillow, I wanted to sleep until I heard the birds the next morning. But, first, I needed a long, relaxing bath. They always put me right to sleep, but it wasn’t often that I was able to indulge because I was almost always in a rush.

“See you later, girlfriend,” I sang, dismissing Lyric, who simply waved her hand as she closed her bedroom door.

The stairs threatened to take me out as I climbed them slowly, praying that each one was the last one but I knew better. Once I made it to my bedroom, I peeled the clothes from mybody one piece at a time until I was standing in the nude and pulling the door of my bedroom that led to the hallway bathroom open.

I admired myself as I took a few steps, closing the door in the hallway for the bathroom. Though it was only Lyric and I home, I didn’t want to leave the door open while I bathed. Privacy was preferred.

For a mother who’d breastfed, my boobs still had volume and were slightly perky. Aside from the barely noticeable pudge at the bottom of my belly, one wouldn’t know I’d carried three children, two of them to full term. There wasn’t a part of my physical appearance that I wasn’t in love with. It was the mental and emotional aspects that I was ready to get a grip on and after spending the night away, I knew that was coming soon.

I searched underneath the cabinet for the large bottle of bubble bath I used for Emorey and Essence three times a week. It wasn’t hard to find. Before starting the water, I poured one-fourth a cup at the bottom, right underneath the faucet.

The water splashed as it met the bottom of the tub, immediately forming fluffy, white bubbles that continued to grow as the tub filled. I stepped inside after a short wait, knowing that the water needed time to warm. I pulled my hair into a loose bun with the hair tie that was wrapped around my wrist, which allowed me to slide deeper in until my shoulders touched the backrest at the rear of the tub.

“Hmmmmmmm,” I moaned, closing my eyes as my body began to relax.

Look at me. His voice rang in my ears.

Keep your head up.Visions of Luca appeared behind my lids.

You look prettier. Snippets of the few words he’d said to me haunted me.

Bringer of light. His haughtiness aroused me.

“Ummm.” I squeezed my lids tighter, hoping he’d go away, but he wouldn’t.

Ever.I wanted my name to fall from no other man’s lips after it had come from his. It belonged there.

My eyes popped open after I’d had enough of his sultriness in my head. The water sounded as I rushed forward and grabbed the faucet to keep from swaying along with it. Once it stabilized, I reached for the plug and removed it completely. The water pouring from the faucet was much too hot, prompting me to turn the nozzle until it was a more appropriate temperature, a much cooler one.

“Ahhhh,” I hummed, lowly, as I positioned myself right underneath it.

The running water tapped against my clitoris relentlessly. The pressure was perfect, sending me spiraling fast. As I closed my eyes, he reappeared.

His brown, slightly reddish hair.

His brown skin that reminded me of a paper sack.

His perfect build.

His perfect height.

His voice, the deepest rasp I’d ever heard in my life.

His eyes, the big, round circles I wanted on me all the time. Every time.

I’d never met a man like Luca and though I’d only been in his presence for a few hours, discernment was a gift of mine. When I met Dewayne, so many alarms went off in my head that I ignored for the sake of having a good time. I’d imagined we would be cutty buddies at the most, but that quickly turned into a full-fledged relationship the minute I discovered my pregnancy with Dylan. So overcome with grief from the loss of my pregnancy, I desperately wanted to carry a child to term to unbreak my broken heart and fill the void that my loss had left me with.

Years later, I looked up and too much of my time had been wasted with him. In reality, he didn’t deserve the first year I’d given him, so I didn’t understand how I’d stayed around seven more. But, I’d finally awakened and there was no more going back.

Luca. Luca was in an entirely different realm. His aura was one of a kind. Effects of his presence loitered long after he’d disappeared. Without being overbearing or unnecessarily rude, he left a memorable impression – one that was so astounding that I was impatiently waiting for the next time I’d laid eyes on him.

Big,very big, dick energy seeped from his pores. It was apparent in the way he walked. It was apparent in the way he talked. It was apparent in his silence. I’d bet my last dollar that he was holding something vicious between his thighs and after so many years in prison, I was hoping to be the first meal on his menu. I wanted him to split me in two and suck on my private parts like oysters during fine dining.

He wasn’t a man that obeyed rules or acknowledged certain boundaries. Just like Lyric, he was accustomed to having his way, and with me, he could. I encouraged him to, whenever he was ready.

“Fuck.” I felt my peak building from my toes.
