“It seems like whenever I’m around you my body does.”
He brought her down so that their lips were touching.
Nothing urgent, but more soft and tender.
Not a side either of them showed the other.
It seemed to call for it together though.
“I feel the same,” he said. “I think we feel the same about a lot of things.”
Was that a clue?
A hint for her to say what she felt?
Why was this so hard?
It wasn’t in her books.
She was guiding her characters then, maybe she should just do what she always wrote about.
“Warren,” she said. Her body was building now. What started as her setting the pace had him lifting and matching her. They were always in sync.
“Yes,” he said. His hand moved to her swollen bud and started to play with her.
Just flicking it some and it was enough for her to pick up the pace.
It was also hard for her to speak when her body had a craving this deep.
“Keep it up,” he said. “I love watching you come. When your eyes go wide and then close. Your mouth opens, the tip of your tongue comes out and your teeth gently bite down. Everything about you is an erotic match just ready to strike against me.”
“Oh God,” she said. He’d never said those words before to her and it struck a cord in her body...even her heart...that had her pounding on him so hard her breasts were jiggling.
Her eyes were still open and she saw Warren studying her. His dark blue eyes were deeper than ever, moving over her face, and then holding her stare.
The floodgates opened and she poured out all over him as she came.
He was lifting with her, emptying the last of the reserves in his tank, then pulling her down on his chest.
“Tell me what I’m waiting for,” he said.
She didn’t need any other coaxing at that point. Holding back had depleted her energy, and what they had just experienced further exhausted her.
“I love you, Warren Showers. It’s another first for me.”
“I love you too, Emma French. Guess we both have that first thing going right now.”
“Phew,” she said, letting out a laugh. “Do you know how hard it’s been worrying about this and if you felt the same?”
“Considering I’ve felt it for months, yeah, I do know,” he said, running his hand over her head.
“We are idiots,” she said. “It’s been that long for me too.”
She knew it now looking back. Maybe she just wasn’t ready to say it though.
“Speak for yourself,” he said. “I knew how you felt. I just got tired of waiting for you to decide when you were ready to say it.”
