All of them. I’m going off grid for a while, since I think I deserve a vacation. Call if you need anything.

I chuckle to myself and lock my phone, shoving it back in my pocket before swinging open the door that leads into the administration building.

I head down the hall and go to turn the corner when I find my head meeting a chest. I grunt and step back, glaring up at whoever got in my way.

Green eyes. Dark hair. Muscled. Handsome. Grinning.

“Watch where you’re walking, dumbass,” I say, trying to keep my tone cold and a neutral expression on my face.

“Excuse me?” He scoffs and looks me up and down, his eyes trailing over the hoodie I’m wearing, and he licks his lips. “Who the fuck are you?”

I smirk and take a step forward, removing any space between us. “Hmmm. Who am I? I’m Lana, little menace, baby…” I click my tongue on the roof of my mouth. “I could go on?”

“How about we just call you mine and leave it at that?” Cole says with a smirk, and I can’t help the laugh that leaves me.

God, he really is an asshole.

But he’smyasshole.

Our eyes meet, and everything else falls away for a few moments. It’s just the two of us, in our own little world. The ringing of a bell breaks it, though, and I take a stepbackwards, remembering we’re standing in the middle of a hallway.

“Where are you going?”

I shrug. “Admin wants to see me. Don’t worry, I won’t be going to class today, but I will be tomorrow. It’s been two weeks, and I’m behind enough as it is.”

He contemplates me for a moment before slowly nodding his head. “If you’re sure.”

I step into his space once more, leaning up to whisper in his ear. “I’m not broken, pretty boy. Now, I know you’re done for the day, so how about you head home and wait for me there like the good boy you are? I’ve missed you.”

I step back and smirk when I see his blown-out pupils. I glance down and… yep, he’s hard.

“And no taking care of that before I get there.”

Iall but race home, since it’s been too fucking long since Lana and I have been together physically. Though, there’s something screaming at me that it might be too soon for her. That she’s been through too much and now she’s rushing things to get back to the way things were.

The door almost comes off its hinges as I swing it open, and I hear a strangled sound coming from the kitchen. I walk in to find Harley seated at the kitchen island, his laptop in front of him, staring at me with wide eyes.

“What’s wrong?”

“What’s wrong? What’s fucking wrong? Bro, you just nearly snapped the door in half. What’s going on? Where’s the fire?”

I shake my head and grab a beer from the fridge, popping the cap before gesturing towards his laptop.

“What are you doing?”

“I was looking for Lana. I wanted to show her something,” he says, directing the screen towards me, and I lean in to get a closer look.

It seems the cops finally stopped by the Richardson estate, since news of their deaths has completely taken over the internet.

“Finally,” I mutter to myself, avoiding eye contact with Harley. I’m sure he and Noah know that we were involved in their deaths, but we didn’t exactly disclose that before, and I’m sure as hell not going to do it now. The less they know, the safer they’ll be should it ever come back on us.

“All the evidence they found on the family is fucking nuts,” he mutters, not taking his eyes off the screen, and I nod in agreement before heading to mine and Lana’s room. The guys and I managed to persuade her to stay here, for now, at least. Originally, I was worried that she’d want to go back to her old life since that’s all she’s ever known, but she made it clear that she has no intention of ever going back there. After some cajoling, she finally gave in and told me her entire story.
