“Damn, what did you do?” Jassi questioned.
“I didn’t do anything.”
Well...besides fuck her again after she put her little boundaries in place.
Maybe that was the issue.
But she seemed fine when she left.
“Have you told her how you feel?”
“Yes, of course.”
“No, not on that macho nacho shit you be talking.”
Amused, I shook my head. “I’m sorry, what?”
“Macho nacho. You know, when you let your ego get in the way and say everything with your dick, instead of with your heart.”
I jerked my head back. “Please don’t ever say dick to me again.”
She shrugged. “I’m just telling you what I think. You can’t keep moving like you’re only thinking about one thing and expect her to think you’re not a fuckboy.”
“But I told her that’s not what I’m on.”
“Yeah, but it’s your actions, though. If she’s moving like she wants space, then you need to give her that. At least for a little while. You need to show her that you’re really on some other shit when it comes to her. Respect. That’s the key. She needs to know that you respect her beyond anything else. Once she knows that, she’ll be all yours, and she won’t think twice about it.”
I looked at my sister, a little taken aback by how mature she sounded. “Where did you learn all of this?”
“Trust me, I’m not just a pretty face. Your little sister has some brains.”
I nodded slowly. “I see.”
“Mmhmm.” She held out her hand. “That will be five hundred dollars.”
“Five hundred dollars?” I laughed. “You funny as hell.”
“I’m dead ass serious. Now, pay up.”
“What happened to all that shit about you not wanting my money?”
“After all of the headaches you’ve given me, I deserve all the coins you want to offer.”
I tilted my head to the side and pulled out some cash. “Here.”
Pushing away the bills, she grabbed the wad of money that I was slipping back into my pocket. “Thanks, big brother. Love you.” She planted a kiss on my cheek, then called Xandie into the living room. “Let’s go to the mall.”
I shook my head and looked back at Trace. “Damn, she really just played me, huh?”
“Looks that way.”
Smiling, I returned my attention to the desk. “Make sure they get to the mall safely.”
“But I thought you were done putting security on her.”
“Yeah, well, what she doesn’t know won’t hurt her.”
