Dixon

Taking over the reigns of a company so recently rocked by scandal is no small task, and as the new CEO I'm well aware of the challenge. But I also believe that with the right steps and an unwavering commitment to ethics and transparency, I can restore the public's trust in our company and make Legacy stronger than ever. The weight of the scandal is like an anchor around my neck, dragging me down into the depth of the murky abyss. I'm aware of the monumental task before me, but I will not falter. With unwavering dedication, I will lead Legacy out of the fire and back into the light. The public's trust will be restored, and our company will emerge from this stronger than ever before.

Since taking the helm, I have been working diligently alongside my team to make sure we are putting our best foot forward in the public eye. This includes taking responsibility for the wrongdoings committed by my predecessor and making a strong commitment to ethics and accountability. We have been making sincere apologies to our customers and those affected by my predecessor's actions in the press and on social media, and have been very open in communicating our plan to ensure that something like this never happens again.

My team and I have also been working hard in the realm of public relations to rebuild our reputation and make sure that our new values and mission are clear. We have been actively engaging with the public on social media, responding to questions and concerns and making sure that our commitment to transparency is understood. We have also taken the initiative to create content that is both entertaining and informative, such as videos and blog posts, so that we can keep our audience informed about our progress and mission. We have also been utilizing influencers to our advantage, making sure that we are partnering with people who share our values and can help spread the word about our commitment to doing better.

On top of our external efforts, we have also been putting a lot of work into our internal policies and procedures to make sure that our commitment to ethics and accountability is reflected in our daily operations. We have implemented a zero-tolerance policy for any form of unethical behavior and have instituted rigorous checks and balances to ensure that our employees are acting in the best interests of our customers and the company. We have also re-evaluated our training and onboarding programs so that our new hires are well-versed in our values and expectations for ethical behavior.

We understand that rebuilding trust and restoring a positive reputation takes time and effort, and we are committed to doing the work necessary to get us back on the right track. To this end, we have been engaging with our stakeholders and partners to ensure that we are taking their concerns and suggestions into consideration as we move forward. We have also been working with outside experts and advisors to help us develop new initiatives and programs that will further strengthen our commitment to ethics and transparency.

We have come a long way in a short amount of time, and I am proud of the progress we have made. I am confident thatwith my team's dedication and hard work, we can make Legacy Inc. an example to the rest of the corporate world. My goal is to make sure our customers and stakeholders can be proud of the company they are associated with, and I will continue to work hard to ensure that we remain true to our values and mission.

To further reinforce our commitment to ensuring that we are always held accountable, I am proud to announce the introduction of an external review board composed of industry experts. This team will be tasked with evaluating our progress and policies, providing insightful feedback on what we can do better and helping us stay true to the commitments made by legacy inc. We look forward to their input and ideas as they play a key role in making sure that legacy inc is on the right path towards being known for its ethics, transparency, accountability - both internally and externally.

At the press conference, I am told to keep it to the facts and nothing more, but sometimes it's better to upfront and honest than follow instructions. So instead, I say what I feel is necessary.

“Along with the external review board, I would also like to take this opportunity to address another key issue - one that is very close to my heart. As you know, we discovered when conducting our internal audit that the former CEO had been engaging in unethical practices - namely stealing designs and using them for their own gain. My father was at the helm of legacy inc at the time these incidents occurred and will be issuing an apology statement at this time.”

My father has been working on his statement all morning, but he wouldn't let me read it. All I can hope is that he takes full responsibility.

“Good morning, my name is George Myers, former CEO of Legacy Inc, and I would like to issue an apology to all of the designers caught up in this mess. I take responsibility for mydevious actions and have learned fully from my mistakes. I will covering the compensation packages of all the designers I implicated. Going forward, my son, Dixon Myers, is the one who launched this investigation and has high standards for Legacy Inc. moving forward. Thank you.”

His eyes say it all – guilt and sorrow over something so heinous as stealing ideas from hardworking individuals who entrusted him their creative passions so freely. My heart races as I process each word.

Everything shifts as my father looks at me. He apologizes for his wrongdoings, admits the faults of handing the company over in it's current state, but then comes a powerful statement.

“I believe you have what it takes to restore the family legacy - maybe even make things better than they ever were. I'm proud of you, son.”

His worlds fill me with inexplicable warmth despite all we have gone through. Regardless of what transpired here today, this is still our family's business - My company now - and for once in my life I am carrying that weight on my shoulders. There may be obstacles along the way, but one thing remains true. I will always be honest and act with integrity. Never expect any less.

Chloe

I look out the floor-to-ceiling window of my office, sipping a lukewarm cup of coffee as I gaze out at the bustling city below. The clatter of typing fingers and the gentle hum of the photocopier provided a familiar soundtrack to my thoughts.

“Morning, Chloe,” Dixon Myers greets with a warm smile as he strolled into my office, hands tucked into his pockets.

“Morning, Dixon,” I reply, feeling a sudden flutter in my chest. I hate how easily he makes me feel that way. As a marketing director, I built a reputation for determination and focus - and yet, here I am, contemplating the potential risk of falling for someone who can jeopardize it all.

“Big day today. We've got to complete the presentation for the board,” I remind myself, shaking off my thoughts and trying to refocus on my work. This is no time for distractions or daydreaming about the handsome man standing before me.

“Of course,” Dixon agrees, his eyes twinkling with enthusiasm. “I’ve been working on some new ideas I think you'll love.”

“Great, let's get started.” I need to focus on the task at hand and prioritize my career goals, but the growing feelings for Dixon are becoming harder to ignore.

As we sit down to work, I steal glances at Dixon. His optimism and energy are contagious, making it difficult for me to maintain the professional distance I have always prided myself on.Remember the consequences of dating someone who you work with? Oh yeah and he’s also your boss! The temptation to explore my feelings for Dixon grow stronger each day.

“Are you okay, Chloe?” Dixon asks, noticing my hesitation in discussing a particular idea.

“Um, yes, sorry. Just... thinking.”
