“Which we’ll do as soon as we finish the laundry and have a shower.”
He threw up his hands. “Fine. We’ll do the stupid laundry.”
Hiding her smile, she spun on a heel and stalked away. “Honestly, I’ve never met a more ungrateful—” She shrieked as he picked her up again and backed her into the laundry room, pressing her up against the wall.
“I’ll show you ungrateful,” he rumbled as he ground his hard-on against her.
She groaned, eyes closing as she wrapped her legs around him. “I’m too dirty for this. I want to shower—”
“Yeah, you’re a dirty girl, aren’t you, baby?”
“Meph, damn it—”
“Fine, we’ll shower. But I’m going to fuck you up against the tile until you scream loud enough that my brothers hear you.”
“No, you are not—”
But he was already carrying her to the bathroom.
“Meph, the laundry—”
“Fuck the laundry.”
The bathroom door slammed shut with a stray kick.

WOMAN IN COLOR Three weeks later...
MEPH WANDERED INTO THE BATHROOM AND QUICKLYlost his train of thought. Iris was leaning over the counter, putting on her makeup, her spine a delicate arch. She wore a low-cut dress in a bright blue that matched her hair color perfectly. He could see down the front of it in the mirror, and the bottom was short enough that he could also see the curve of her ass as she bent over from behind. It didn’t get much better than that.
He was a simple demon and never one to waste an opportunity. So he took a seat on the closed toilet lid behind her and got busy enjoying the view.
“Faust passed out, so I put him in the puppy pen,” he said absentmindedly.
“Thanks. Raum took him for a good walk today, so he should sleep for a while.”
“Nice. Grim didn’t attack me when I walked past either. It’s a miracle.”
Iris laughed. “I think he’s getting used to you.”
She turned around and looked Meph up and down. One of her eyes was coated in heavy shadow and the other wasn’t. It looked freaky, but he wasn’t about to tell her that. He may have been simple, but he wasn’t an idiot. “Are you ready?” she asked. “We have to go soon.”
“I was born ready. I’m just waiting for you.”
She rolled her eyes and turned back to the mirror, making the second eye match the first, thank god. “I know you—you need to spend at least ten minutes staring at your sneakers before you decide which ones to wear.”
“Not tonight I don’t.”
“Why not?”
“Because I bought new ones for the occasion.”
“Meph!” She spun around again. “You have more shoes than anyone I know. You do not need more.”
He grinned unashamedly, linking his hands behind his head and leaning back against the porcelain. Not the most comfortable seat, but again, the view was fantastic. “I always need more.”
She gave him a look and turned back to the mirror.
