“Enchiladas,” her mom replies. “It’s Felix’s favorite.”

Felix makes a face, then casually takes a sip of his drink, which looks like it burns.

Aspen whispers, “It’s not.”

“I’m not opposed to some food,” Nathan says.

“As long as there’s no fighting, I guess they can stay for dinner,” Alistair mutters. “Right?”

“Gives them a chance to mend things,” I whisper back into Aspen’s ear, and she smiles.

Her mom sighs. “Okay, fine. Let’s all have dinner.”

“Good. Filled bellies keep the hate at bay,” Aspen whispers back.

“Is that so,pumpkin?”

I wink when she looks at me, all embarrassed as fuck, but the little freckles on her nose wriggle along with her, and it’s too cute.

“I will kill you if you ever repeat that,” she hisses through her teeth.

A filthy smirk forms on my face. “What’s your weapon of choice, knives or tits? I vote for the latter.”

“Having a lover’s quarrel already?” Dylan muses, raising his brow. “I guess you two are in deep, huh?”

“How often does Mom want to kill you?” Aspen asks.

He snorts and grabs a handful of peanuts from the bowl on the table and says, “Every day.”

“Wait, how are we gonna eat enchiladas without forks?” Lana asks, and everyone looks at her before bursting out into laughter.

“Am I missing something?” I mutter at Aspen, who’s chuckling too.

She leans in and says, “Felix and Lana have a history with cutlery.” She winks. “It’s a long story.”

CHAPTER 69

Aspen

I clutchLevi’s body and feel his breathing grow rapid the closer my hands get to his dick, a filthy grin spreading beneath my helmet. I know he wants to curse me out, but he’s far too busy driving his motorcycle to pay me any attention, which is why this is the perfect way for me to get revenge on all the times he pushed me over my limits.

A moan slips from his mouth as I rub him right through the fabric of his pants, the sound making me dizzy with building heat. After tonight, we all need a release.

God, I could do this every day, all day, for the rest of my life.

Suddenly, he makes a U-turn, and I’m left wondering where we’re going. He speeds up, while I keep playing with him, curious what he’s planning to do.

But I never expected him to drive straight into the gates of the cemetery in the middle of the night.

What the fuck?

He comes to a stop near my sister’s grave and gets off, leaving me behind.

Okay, now I’m confused.

I take off my helmet. “I thought we were going back to the Phantom Society.”

“Oh, we were … but you couldn’t keep your hands off me, and now I need to punish you for it,” he says.
