Samantha cackled.

“Well,” he drawled. “I like the outdoors. I bike on the greenbelt. Go hiking. Sometimes I go camping.”

“Camping, huh? Like sleeping out in the forest, under the stars, and the whole nine yards?”

“Yup.”

“That sounds fun.”

“It is. Except it gets kind of cold at night.” He paused mischievously and then leaned over to place his lips on her neck. “Unless you have someone to keep you warm.”

“Hmm.” She laughed uncontrollably. “Maybe I’ll have to go camping with you sometime.”

“You’d love it,” he said, lips still on her neck. “I’d make sure you stayed nice andhot.”

“You’d better. I hate feeling cold. Don’t you think this club is freezing?”

He laughed. “No, but I’m not wearing tiny shorts.”

She gave him an amused smirk. “You don’t like my shorts? I picked them especially for you.”

“Oh no,” he growled as he moved his lips down her neck and his hand up her thigh. “I love your shorts.”

“Oh really,” she teased, downing her drink and placing it on the table, then gripping the back of his neck. “How much do you love my shorts?”

He moved his lips to her mouth and she lifted one of her legs to drape over his lap, giving him easy access to grab her ass.

He abruptly pulled his mouth away and spoke into her ear. “So much that I want to pull them off with my teeth.”

He ran his bottom lip over her earlobe and she gasped quietly, gripping his neck tighter and pulling him closer.

“Okay,” she whispered.

“Okay, what?”

“Okay, let’s get a cab.”

He jerked his face away. “Really?”

“Oh yeah. Definitely.”

He furrowed his brow. “What about the other nine dates?”

She giggled wildly. “Fortunately for you,” she slurred, shoving him playfully. “I’m now drunk enough to not care.”

His face fell.

Goddamn it.

He may have been a self-admitted man-whore of sorts, but he did have a sense of basic ethics. And sex with a drunk woman was definitely not ethical.

So he smiled at her, then kissed the side of her face.

“Let’s get you home.”

Nick stepped out of the cab and leaned next to the driver’s window.
