With her whole body taut with a need consuming her thoughts and movements, she gripped Dale’s hips and bucked wildly, uncaring that her moaning and panting echoed around them in an erotic rush.
“Right here with you,” he murmured, then slid a hand between them and pressed his thumb over the spot where they were connected, and she lost her mind.
Sadie cried out, gripping his shoulders. Dale took her out of herself and brought her to a new and wondrous realm, and just like that, she burst in a flash of heat and pleasure so fierce the world disappeared until only the two of them existed.
A second later, he gripped both her hips and shoved deep, his eyes twin pools of liquid heat as he called her name and shuddered with his own strong release.
When the fog in her brain subsided and her vision returned, she watched him grip the edge of the desk and shift back enough to stare at her body, which he’d rendered boneless.
“You were amazing.” He brushed his lips across her temple and slowly pulled all the way out.
Sadie wanted to protest, but she knew she had work to do, and for the first time in days, she felt ready to tackle it. “Then that makes you magnificent. So, Mr. Magnificent, whatever you do, don’t let go of me yet. I think all the bones in my body havemelted.”
“I won’t.” He grinned and kissed the tip of her nose. “I’ve got you.”
She patted the taut muscle in his upper arm. “And I’ve got you.”
His gaze sobered, and he regarded her closely. “Sure you’re okay?”
“Yes.” She smiled and scraped her thumb over his jaw. “As long as you’re with me, Dale, I’m more than okay.”
“Good to know.” Tightening his grip on her hips, Dale brushed a light kiss along her hairline. “I’m not going anywhere, Sadie.” he promised, his voice a low, soothing rumble. He drew back just enough to look into her eyes, his gaze filled with a mix of determination and tenderness. “You’re stuck with me.”
Her stomach fluttered, and a warmth spread through her chest. “Being stuck with you sounds pretty perfect,” she whispered, her voice carrying the tender weight of her emotions. She placed her hand over his, where it rested on her hip, giving it a gentle squeeze. “And I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Leaning in, she pressed a soft kiss to his lips, her heart swelling with the certainty that this was exactly where she was meant to be.
She was also meant to get some content done.
Sighing, she shook her head. “I guess I’d better get back to work.”
“Yeah?” His brows shot up and excitement lit his gaze. “While naked?”
Laughing, she slapped his shoulder. “No. Of course, not.”
“Damn.” He chuckled. “You going to be okay if I release you?”
“Yes. Thank you.”
“Damn,” he said again, a small smile tugging at his lips as he released her and disappeared into the bathroom to take care of business.
Sadie used the time to quickly pull on her clothes. She was under no illusions that all it would take was one heated glance or sinful touch and she’d be ready to forget work and jump his bones.
When he walked back into the room, disappointment furrowed his brow. “Damn,” he grumbled for the third time. “I missed the end of the Sadie show.”
The Sadie show?
She snorted. “Sorry. I’ll make it up to you later.”
A wide grin spread across his face. “Deal.”
As he finished getting dressed, Sadie returned her camera to its original place, knowing she’d never look at her desk or the room the same ever again. The hot, amazing memory they’d just created would forever be utmost in her mind.
The man had accomplished what he’d set out to do. He’d changed the feel of the place. Took her out of herself, brought her to bliss, returned to her to earth with her head on straight, and her backbone in place.
This was her sanctuary, and no one was going to take it from her again.
“Does Tesla come up here?” Dale asked, tugging his last piece of clothing in place.
