Forgetting all about dinner, I push her chair back and drop to my knees.
“I think it's time for dessert now.”
Her eyes widen as she looks down at me.
“Kai, I, um, I’m nervous.”
I smirk. “I’ll get rid of those nerves for you.”
When I reach up to grab the sides of her pants, she grabs my hands.
I lean forward, resting my chin on her knee. “I won’t do anything you don’t want me to, princess, but I promise you will like this. We won’t go any further.”
“I...” She stumbles over her words.
“It’s okay. Take your time. Collect your thoughts. We aren’t in a rush.”
She takes a deep breath, holding it before finally releasing it.
“I’m a virgin. I don’t know what to do. You’ve been with more experienced women and I’m worried I won’t measure up,” she says really fast, burying her head into her hands.
This won’t do.
I need to make sure my woman knows she is perfect.
That she’s the one who owns my body, soul, and mind.
I cannot believeI just spewed all of that. I mean, who admits that they are inexperienced like that?
Me. That’s who.
I was planning to be calm, cool, and collected, but the moment his hands touched my hips, I freaked out.
My heart started beating erratically while my thoughts raced.
I don’t want to disappoint him. I don’t want him to find out that he doesn’t actually like me.
What can I even offer him?
“Princess, look at me.”
His voice is as sexy as ever, coaxing me.
I’m too embarrassed though. I can feel the prick of tears behind my eyes.
I messed this up.
I’ll never feel his lips on mine again. He will go to Callum and withdraw his offer, which will leave me with the stupid Italian guy.
I don’t want that.
I want him.
His hands leave my hips as I hear him move.
This is it. He’s leaving.
Instead, I feel him pull at my hands.
