My family stood and welcomed me into a warm and loving group hug. Tears fell from my mother’s and sister’s eyes, while my father managed to maintain his composure. His eyes were misty, but he didn’t let the tears fall.

“This is amazing. You’re having the family’s first set of twins on either side. This weekend has been filled with amazing news. I don’t think I can take much more. I’m so proud and happy for you girls,” Ma said through tears.

“There’s one more surprise,” Daddy said.

“Oh? What’s that?” I asked, wondering what kind of surprise my father had for us.

He gently put his hands on my shoulders and turned me around. At first, I didn’t see Breeze on bended knee in front of me because I looked right over his head. When I looked down, I gasped, slapping my hand over my mouth.

“Melodie Maxine Norwood, I’ve been telling you since the moment we finally decided to stop playing around that you are my wife. I meant it with everything in me. I ain’t a sentimental nigga, but when I love somebody, I love hard and I ain’t got no problem telling or showing them. I love you, baby, and I want you to be my wife. Will you marry me?”

“I love you, Breeze. Of course, I’ll marry you.”

I extended my hand, and he slid the most beautiful solitaire diamond ring with a diamond-encrusted band on my finger. When he stood, he cupped my face and firmly pressed his lips against mine. Although our tongues remained in our mouths, our lips remained connected for at least thirty seconds.

Our lips disconnected, and he wrapped me in a hug. Around us, there was applause and cheers of congratulations. If I could, I’d bottle up the love and joy I felt in this moment, surrounded by all the important people in my life, and douse myself in it when I was feeling down.

However, the idea of ever feeling down again was unimaginable because I literally had everything I wanted and couldn’t be happier.

“Baby, did you forget where you from?”

“What does that have to do with anything? I’m from Hyde Park. That’s the good side of the Southside.”

“Good side my ass. Regardless, nobody from Chicago should be scared to pull the trigger. Especially somebody with a slick mouth like yours. You see Raine over there?”

“Don’t think I didn’t hear you try to come for me,” she said before glancing at her best friend’s target, who had hit the bull’s eye almost every time.

“Yeah, but you’re her brother, so it makes sense.”

It had been a week since I’d proposed, and we’d finally made it to the gun range. We paid to have the range to ourselves for two hours because the six of us who owned Black Reign werenot only here, but Yvonne, Mari, Harmonee, and Shyne’s sisters joined us as well.

Rocky connected us with someone who could do a private concealed carry class, and we used one of the classrooms at Black Reign since there were so many of us. We had our first class yesterday, and the second was scheduled for next Sunday. Shyne, Adan, and Zayn were already licensed to carry but attended to practice and for moral support.

“Did you pay attention while I demonstrated?”

“Yes, but it’s not the same.”

“I know, baby. That’s why I’m right here to guide you. Relax and take a deep breath.”

She did as I asked, and after I positioned her body and hands correctly, she finally pulled the trigger.

“Shit!” she exclaimed with excitement. “That was powerful.”

“I knew you’d like this shit. Let’s get you a few rounds in.”

I’d already shot a few rounds, and it took me damn near thirty minutes to talk the fear out of Melodie once it was her turn. Now that she was finally comfortable shooting, everyone was ready to go.

“Y’all go ahead. I want her to shoot a few more rounds before we leave.”

We said our goodbyes to the group, and I let the person working know that Melodie and I would be a little longer. I continued to guide her, and her form and aim improved with each shot.

“Can we stop now?” she asked in a whiny voice.

“You tired?”

She turned around to face me, and I took the handgun from her, putting the safety on. “No, but I can feel your hard dick against my ass every time you adjust my form, and now my pussy is wet, and I’m horny.”

Her response surprised me, but she wasn’t lying about my dick. It had been hard since the first time she almost nailed the bull’s eye. It took her a minute to get over her fear, but once she did, she was a natural, and that shit turned me the fuck on.
