Chapter Fifteen
Zane
I pullLaura close and kiss her sleepy eyes. “Merry Christmas.”
“Mmmm.” She says, but doesn’t open them.
“I’ve filled your tub with some good smelling Epson salt and have it ready for you.”
“Mmm.” Her eyelids flutter. “That’s nice.”
I scoop her up off the bed and cradle her body as I carry her to the tub. “You need to soak. Otherwise, you’ll be sore as hell and cussing me later on today.”
“Mmm.” She pecks my cheek. “Who knew you were such a sweet man?”
I chuckle. “No one but you, I promise.”
She chuckles softly, “Batman knows.”
I laugh as I ease her down into the warm soothing water. “Yes, he knows too.”
I lean against the side and pull her between my legs. Her head lays back on my chest, and I move the water over her body with my hand.
After a little while, she says, “Merry Christmas, Zane.”
We soak together in silence until the water begins to cool off. Then I push her up to her feet and stand. “Breakfast or sleep?” I ask her.
She smiles as she takes the towel I offer. “Breakfast.”
“Pizza?”
“Of course.”
In the kitchen, she opens the refrigerator and takes out the pizza box Blake sent home with us. I find two plates, and we push the candies over and sit down at the bar to eat.
After a few pieces, I ask her. “So what’s our plan here?”
She looks at me, then looks at the pizza. “What do you mean?”
“What’s our plan?” I smile at her.
She smiles back. “Do you mean, more sex today or what exactly?”
I grin. “Both.”
She studies her pizza, and her wheel are turning. Then she looks at me and says, “The more the better.”
I laugh at that answer. “Sounds like a plan I can live with.”
She grins very happy with herself. “Where? Here or there?”
I smile, “There. I have a house with a yard for Batman.”
She looks away thinking, then asks, “May I decorate?”
I nod. “Sure, babe.” I look around too. “You’ve got good taste. Not too frilly for me.”
“When?”
I shrug. “ASAP is good for me.”
She grins, “Champagne?”
I nod. “Why the hell not. It’s Christmas.”
She leans over and gives me a kiss. “Best Christmas ever!”
“Yes, babygirl. It is.”
