Pretty sure I scream my answer because I have no chill. I barely notice when he grabs my hand and slips a gold band on myfinger.
When he stands, I leap into his arms, not caring who sees me kisshim.

My heart swells with love for this man, who really can’t afford this kind of gesture. I’m guessing his brother loaned him themoney.
Holding my hand up, I take a look. It’s a simple, thin band with a small cluster of diamonds. And absolutelyperfect.
