OLLY

It’s awkward as fuck to have my mom walk us to my bedroom. She gets out extra blankets and sets them at the foot of my bed.

“Maggie, if you need anything, just let me know. It gets cold here at night, as you know, so make sure Olly keeps you warm.” And she winks at her on the way out.

Did my mom just give me the thumbs-up to bang my girlfriend? Why, I think she did. Weird, but strangely cool.

I let out a breath when the door closes. “If that wasn’t a seal of approval, I don’t know what is.” I flop back on my bed and tuck both hands behind my head.

“Going slow does not mean having sex with you at your parents’ house,” Maggie whispers as she unzips her bag. “Your bed probably squeaks anyway. The whole house would know with the way you go at it.”

“Are you saying I’m an enthusiastic lover?”

That adorable blush fires up her cheeks. “We broke the headboard at the hotel. Take that for what you will.”

“You’re probably right. We shouldn’t have sex.” I shrug. “With the way you scream, my parents will dial 911 before they realize we’re just doing the diddly-doo.”

But maybe Maggie will let me stick my hand in her panties. A guy can dream.

“Diddly-doo?” She laughs, and I yank her over me. She lands with a shriek, and I shush her.

“Would you like me to demonstrate?” I press my erection against her thigh, and her eyes flutter closed. “You’d have to be berry, berry quiet,” I say in my Elmer Fudd voice.

She laughs again and sits up, straddling me. Her little sundress slides up her legs and tugs at her generous cleavage. Holy shit, she’s a fox. I try not to notice how beautiful she is because she makes me a little crazy, but damn. Maggie is a five-alarm fire.

I slide my hands up her thighs and love the shiver that makes her nipples poke through. I’m about to sit up and suck on one of them when someone knocks on the door.

Maggie leaps off me, tangles in the blankets, and heads for the floor. I jump up and grab her just before she lands, turning at the last second so I hit the ground first. She drops on top of me, knocking the wind out of me. I wheeze and try to catch my breath.

For the record, landing on a hardwood floor is not the same as the field in full football pads.

Either that, or I’m rustier than I thought if I can’t handle a bit of fluff falling on me.

And that’s where Kayla finds me and Maggie, tangled in a heap on the ground, when she sticks her head in my door. “Wow, you guys don’t waste any time, huh?”

Maggie’s worried face fills my vision as she pats my head and shoulders. “Are you okay? I’m so sorry.”

I don’t give a shit about the rest of me, just my knee, which I gingerly stretch out. At least I landed on my back, but if Maggie had banged into my knee, that really would’ve sucked. I definitely need to be more careful.

And what? You’d let Maggie, who’s pregnant with your twins, land on the floor, jackass?

No, I admit to myself. I’d launch myself over the bed to save Maggie all over again, damn the consequences.

When I can breathe again, I ask, “Are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m not hurt or anything. Someone broke my fall.” She grabs my face and kisses me. “Thank you for your quick reflexes.”

For some reason, that simple, sweet kiss makes me breathless again.

“Aww, you guys are so cute!” Kayla squeals from the doorway, making Maggie flinch. “Who could’ve known you two would make a great couple? Oh, that’s right. I did! Go me!”

“Go away,” I grunt as I pull Maggie down for another kiss, which she dodges, probably because my sister is standing there. She wobbles to a stand and then offers me a hand, which almost makes me laugh. I could topple her over if I’m not careful. But her expression is so sincere, I grab what’s offered, making sure not to give her too much of my weight as I stand.

My sweet baby mama stares up at me with an emotion in her eyes I can’t quite make out.

Kayla clears her throat. “Sorry to interrupt your little afternoon delight sesh, but I need y’all to come out to the living room. Joe and I have some news we want to share.”
