“I was horny and had been building up to a threesome I thought was going to be with another girl. I wanted to fuck.”

“He seemed to like you,” she says, breezing past what I just said.

I scoff. “I don’t know what makes you think that,” I say before taking another bite.

“He couldn’t keep his eyes off you.”

I start to feel warm, but this time I take my time chewing and swallowing before I respond.

“Well, you can’t keep your eyes off me either when I’m naked, so I guess I’m not surprised.”

She elbows me. “Cocky ass.”

I laugh and take my drink from her. “It was fine. Whatever. Nothing to write home about.”

“I’d hope you wouldn’t write home about any threesomes,” she says with a laugh.

“Definitely not. My parents probably think I’m still a virgin. They’retraditional.”

Vic makes a face. “Ah. I see. Well, maybe the three of us can hang out again. Like at a bar. Y’all can get to know each other if that makes you feel more comfortable.”

“Get to know each other? What are we gonna do? Date?”

“I mean, you seemed a little uptight last time.”

“Theonlytime.”

She goes on, ignoring me. “So, maybe if you loosen up and at least like him a little, then things might not feel so awkward.”

“Vic.”

She pouts again. “He asked about you.”

“What do you mean?”

“I ran into him the other day. He asked how you were doing.”

“What did you say?”

“That you were fine.”

“What else did he say?”

She grins. “Not much.”

“Is he wanting to do it again?”

My pulse spikes waiting for her response.

Vic’s smile widens. “Probably.” She drags out the word, grinning at me in a way that bothers me.

“It’s not because I care,” I say.

“Of course.”

I shake my head and focus on my food. “Anyway.”

“There’s a party tonight.”
